Gowiwi makes me want to quit the game

Allow me to elaborate. I'm a nearly maxed TH8, nobody Gowiwi's me.

But I have had a crush on this game for some time and I'm good at it (somewhere around 29/30 stars in our last clan wars). But Gowiwi looks absolutely unbelievably boring. I liked the game at first because it was fairly easy to get better, now its ridiculously tedious to get better, I can usually 3* an opposing th9 even some good ones, ... I'd try to get really good (upgrade to TH9, go nuts on farming) but frankly...

3 wars ago I 3* a #1 that was a decent TH9 with balloonion, and lord it was close, I was down to my BK at the end. But I won. 10+ wars ago I 2* a th10 with balloonion and man... 2 of his air D's didn't cover the TH, and I killed the 2 that did and I had 2 minions pounding away on that monster but they killed it.. Close! Thats FUN!

but whats the point of Gowiwi, you watch these endorsed gemmed icons of the game on youtube and they constantly run gowiwi or gowipe who cares? They are literally not even trying to win, they are going for 2. Whats the fun in that? I'm somewhere around 24/24 possible in our last x wars, combined with my second account I've failed at one star in like literally many wars. Thats FUN. Going for 3 is FUN.

What on earth is the fun of GoWiWi? Going for 2? with $3k (real dollars) worth of heros? Half of you that run GoWiWi probably should have used that money for a decent car. You choose 2 stars over a decent car?

Well, th10s are not meant to be able to get 3 stared. How would you feel if you played for 1.5 years to max your base to th10 just to see it getting crushed time after time? You want to be able to 3 star a th10 with loonion? Or 2 star?

GoWiWi/GoWiPe or any similar variation is now the best way to get 3 stars (and you see it happened, but not just be any attacker on youtuber...). Hogs might get you 3 star too, if you find the right base to attack.

So if you are a good attacker, you'll be able to 3 star a maxed base with GoWiWi/GoWiPe/Hogs and they will be your best chance to get 3 stars, but it will be extremely hard and only few have the skill for that. That's the way the game suppose to be and I don't get why you complain about that.

What's no fun to you, might be fun to someone else.
Also, 3k might be nothing to some - be glad for that, they keep this game free for others.
Don't judge based on your opinion only, is all I'm trying to say.
Congrats on your wins, it is fun to be pitted against an even match and a fun challenge against a stronger match-up, even if one doesn't come out on top. The knack is, keeping that in sight.

And when you decide to stay, take a moment to say: guys, I was wrong about my skills, I'm sorry for calling everybody a gemmer, I'm sorry for going at gemmers for no reason, and I now know that GoWiWi can 3 star a base with proper placement, skill, timing and a bit of luck.

Ladies and Gents,

Even at a near maxed (except walls, DE troops (but I have lvl4 hogs and lvl3 minions) and lvl 3 PEKKA (pekka sucks))) TH8, this game has become very very tedious.

The skull walls look cool but aren't really any better than purple crystal (balloons, drags, and minions still fly over them, hogs jump over them, wall breakers still break them) and I'm only 70ish out of 225 at upgrading them. Its a ridiculously tedious task to upgrade walls. Oh and if I upgrade, I'll just have to farm like crazy at a significantly disadvantaged loot scale.

The only fun I have in the game now, sitting here boringly upgrading my pointless walls, is clan wars, and thats super fun. We are 20-1 in our last 21. But a won war buys me a whole skull wall. Yay. BTW those skull walls are a whole 500 points better than purple crystal. Yay. Still irrelevant to hogs/balloons/minions/dragons/wallbreakers/etc.

Gowiwi looks like no fun to me at all. I enjoy the videos from clash of clan attacks etc, very much, but what on earth is the fun of going for 2. What I love about the game is sweating out how I can get 3 on some TH9 not going for a "consistent 2" with Gowipemyarese .

And I'm soooooo sick of those videos. Seriously youtubers, make a vid to help a TH5 or 6. Enough with the godouche.

Its most fun to best an opponent you feel is maybe probably better than you.

I love the clan wars, i love to win them. However the rest of the game is now pointless to me. The simple cost of walls is beyond silly. Someone might spend (wait i'll look it up)

28 bucks for an archer queen. You could go to dinner for that. For that and one upgrade you could buy a PS4 game.

I like the social aspect of this game (as a relatively prominent person in my community I avoid facebook and etc like the plague) but seriously. For the cost of a lvl 40 hero you could get a decent car.

This game is the worst financial investment on earth. Whatever you pay for they will just nerf in the future. Its a short term business model, and flash forward 5 years and it'll be a joke, a joke about how much people spent on games like these. The whole point for SuperCell is to maim their best customers. Guys that just isn't a sustainable business model.

Your clans war matching rank is why you see it this way. In 6 months when your clan has a higher match making score you will see things differently or joing a higher level clan.

I do. But I basically only gem donations to my clanmates, and ... oh and I zap DE as often as feasible and I just learned to barch and I like the game.

But the thing that makes the game fun to me is clan wars, and I am the straw that stirs the drink for my clan. And I think they've almost brilliantly set up the system that chooses wars, and I truly hope to 3 star 2 opponents tomorrow, and I'll donate all the troops anybody asks for but...

I don't think I'm long for this game. The guys that post repeated and ohmygodboring gowiwi or gowpie videos... the fun for me is going for 3. Hopefully against a better base than mine, for the challenge. Going for 2 with the blah blah blah blah blah same old strat just doesn't seem fun. I like going for 3.

high level gameplay just seems to suck. These guys blow themselves over 2 stars.

It seems like max TH8 is the pinnacle, you can still shoot for 3

I understand. And thats why I'm not that interested in going much farther in this game.

I mean seriously, if I go to TH9, would that help or hurt my clan in wars (which is the only fun thing at this point)

So you don't want to go to th9 because it will make your wars harder? I thought the fun in games like this is challenge. You 3 star which th9s? You 2 star which th10? Premmies? With a bad design?

It seems like you complain its too easier for you to win wars, but then also complain it'll be harder if you move to th9. I guess you hate challenge. Otherwise I can't get you logic.

I guess he played for a long time and only upgraded his buildings with the resources he got from collectors. Otherwise I really can't see how he get only 1 skull wall in 2 days minimum (said he gets it from clan wars war bonus).

People think the game should be easy for them even at higher levels. Yes, its a mobile game, but the higher you go, the harder it should get. OP should just deal with it :p

The top players run GoWiWi or GoWiPe as it's pretty much the only army that stands a chance of 3 starring a maxed base.

If you are TH8 or TH9 then there are lots of different army compositions which can 3 star them.

You'll soon find that once you come up to TH10s and are attacking other TH10s in clan wars that you won't get many 3 stars.

Lot of good points here

But see the thing here is that you don't have to spend money on this game at all.

I haven't spend a single dollar (or whatever currency you're using) on this game and I'm enjoying it.

People who are using GoWiWi are not all gemmers who batched a large amount of money towards the game.

That's where I believe your argument is flawed or straying off.

You're not mad about GoWiWi; you're mad about people who spend large amounts of money on this game in my opinion.

On top of all that, as your progress, this game is suppose to get harder. What good would it be if you can get three stars easily using one strategy? What makes this game fun for me is using a solid strategy that is effective against a base. As you'll know, as you progress the objective of the game changes from getting 3 stars to getting 2 stars as defenses become insanely good.

The first thing that we should cover in our therapy session is that you have a crush on a game.

Lol it sounds like you're bitter that Supercell is making money off a game you don't enjoy. The free to play model is the gold standard for mobile gaming. If Supercell shut down Clash of Clans tomorrow it would still go down as one of the most successful mobile games ever.

I made it to TH9 a few weeks ago and to me the game is even more fun now. As a TH8 I had no incentive to figure out how to deal with Inferno Towers since there were plenty of other targets for me to raid. After I got to TH9 and had to figure out how to beat Inferno Towers it became like a whole new game. Now I enjoy hunting down early TH10 as a TH9. If you don't like GoWiWi then come up with your own plan.

GoWiWiPe is all the rave atm. There are some 3* maxed out TH10s videos on YouTube.

I'm not sure I get the point of your rant but if you don't like the game anymore then stop playing it.

It's easy for a th8 to 2 star another th8 or 2-3 star a premie th9-10. 3 stars is the challenge. At higher level the game gets harder and it becomes a challenge to get 2 stars. You don't see that yet because you've probably never attacked a decent base. You talk about 3 starring a th9 with level 5 balloons but any decent th9 is unlikely to be 3 starred even with level 6 balloons.

Yes there are some guys who spend large amounts of cash but it's their money and that's their choice. You can max heroes, defences, walls without paying a cent- it just takes longer. You can also get to champs without gemming- with some difficulty. As I understand it the only thing you probably can't do without gemming is reach global leaderboards.

if you are sick of farming for skulls then don't do it. I do agree that purple walls are fine for most players. My advice to you would be to go to th9, learn how to play at a higher level and enjoy the game.

Its nearly impossible to max out your king and queen without gems. Even with a high level 10 base, you would need to STAY logged in every second. Because the moment you're offline a heavy hitter with maxed troops is gonna pillage the sh@# out of you dark elixir and you'll have to raid like crazy again. Let's not be silly

The only thing hard about heroes is the time it takes to upgrade, not actually obtaining the resources. With a maxed base you can easily sit on resources all day everyday. Maybe your base is just bad.
