Ship for troop donations

First post guys. Please be gentle if this has been suggested before. I tried searching and didn't find anything similar.

I've read several posts about a water based troop, trying to make use of the beautiful water feature in the southwest corner of our villages. Although I do not think that would be a practical addition to the game, I have an idea to make use of this area.

I would like to see a ship sitting there. Make it as cool and tough looking as you would like, but let us house troops in it that we plan to donate. The troops would not be retrievable from the ship, only available for donations, and putting a cap of 40-60 troops in the ship at a time would seem logical.

Reasons:
1. I love donating wizards, I love receiving wizards in my cc, but I rarely use them in battle. Problem solved if I could train 10 or so overnight, stash them in the ship, and in the morning at least two of my clan mates will have a castle full of level 5 wizards.

2. I donate roughly 1000 troops every week. The time to train the replacements really starts to add up. That's 25,000 seconds of training (if all I donate is archers) that I have to make up for when I go to attack.

3. You put the water there, lets use it for something.

not bad. it would reduce the complaining in clans about non-donations. If im correct, the ship automatically donates the troops right? and ultimately it would reduce the hopping from non donating clans drastically

I like this idea coz its like the boat thingy in Hay Day, so the boat leaves with your troops that you put into and delivers them to the clan members who needs troops when you're not online, that's smart

I wasn't thinking of the automatic donations, but I like that too. With clans being international, we have several members that truly are not on during the peak requesting times. This could alleviate that a bit.

My original thought/plan was a separate storage outside of camps, so that troops designated to donate wouldn't be counted against our troop total, but I like the auto-donate too. I would imagine that would logically require a smaller cap on the number you could put in there.

I like that idea a lot. It really annoys me the time it takes to replace the donated troops. It seems that whenever just before the raid my clan members request, then get irked when i don't donate.

Great idea! This is the best water based idea i have come across. I would love boats for pure donation purposes. I think your simple idea works the best... i was trying to think of a way to make it so that your clan mates could see what was in your boat and select a member for their clan castle... but that would open the game up to more hoppers who go to high clans and steal troops. Your idea of a simple water based troop storage system is the best. I hope supercell picks this thread up.

Glad to hear some positive feedback on my idea. I think it would be one of those simple think SC could do without much programming that would be a big benefit to players. Hope this bumps the topic up a bit to be seen by SC.

i like this idea and the auto donation thing, but there might be a problem. If we are all on auto donation and someone requests who is going to donate first? i think it will crash. unless they do a cool down time. I don't know i just can see the auto donation feature causing more problems.
