All farmers: consider switching to BARCH

Its a ton of fun. I made it to all max TH8 (ahem, save lvl3 PEKKA, some DE troop upgrades, and walls, of which I have 69 skulls and the rest purple crystal) by farming with giant/healer. I've used gems but by far mostly for donations, because my clan is small and there isn't always someone on. So as soon as I get on I gem everybodies requested donation and fill em up.

I just tried barch today, and first, its A TON OF FUN, giant/healer gets soo tedious and all those compartments drive you nuts, barch is over in a minute and I STILL HAVEN'T LOST A BARCH RAID, despite the fact that I'm not good at it yet and playing on an android that can't handle 2 fingers and has a tiny screen. An IPAD would make this even easier.

Its super cheap. Unless you pick a really bad choice of base to raid you won't lose any elixir, its profitable every time so far. If there's a downside its just that getting to the DE in the middle is pretty tough against better bases. But I guess thats why CC has the lightning spell.

BARCH is a great strategy. It's really powerful if you use it right. (Rage spells, wb, etc) I don't get why people think BARCH is for collector raids and not storage raids (just saying, thanks to the 1 gem boost I've been finding full collectors everywhere)

They're really versatile as an army composition. You can use them to farm for mines and pumps or you can use them as a make-shift trophy pushing army under rage spells.

I personally like the former as I like raiding every couple of minutes or so and I'm too impatient to wait for spells.

Yep, BARCH is pretty versatile. I usually look for collector bases, but if I come across a high loot base, then I'll consider, using rage and heal to get my troops to the core. Unfortunately, I can only do this a couple of times each session I play. Also, I'm always maxed on elixer, because of using BARCH, so I can make a dragon army while I sleep, and have a killer raid in the morning, lol!

I technically use BAW (Barbs+Archer+WB), but I'm a BArcher deep down.

Gotta love how versatile it is, and how some of the weakest/cheapest troops in the game can get people so far (I'm talking about just one unit, not factoring in cost). I've been using it for months, and really the only armies I use are BArch and mass drags. :cool:

BAM is also a good farming strategy. Faster and stronger than barch.

I farm with All Pekkas...

What i love about barch is how easy it is to tweak, you just sub some barchers in with some other unit and see how well it works, BaArLoon has been working out quite well for me so far (So many neglected air defences) but BaGiArnts works well at lower TH levels to.

If you use two jump spells and two rage spells with maxed out barch, it is- And I'm not exaggerating, I just have always loved barch- It is just as good as my GoWiPe, and perhaps easier than mass dragons, at times, to get to the storages. The only strategies that I have ever been any good at are, in this order, Barch, GoWiPe, BAM, Mass Dragons, and Giant-Healer +Wizard. And I'm pretty bad at the last one...

EDIT: BARCH can also be used for pushing! Which is a good thing, if you're pushing and you find a good collector raid, you can use BARCH to get the loot and the 50%
I don't really have much experience with BAM so if you want help, look it up on YouTube™ or ask someone else. I'm not sure if BAM can be used for pushing

yep. barch is cheap. price to performance ratio is above all. bam is right under, especially if de is not a major deal for you. i like how easy it is to go from a storage raid to a collector raid without changing armies or having a smaller profit. 8wb are nice to have with 200 troop capacity

When i'm barching, i mostly never attack without at least 4 wallbreakers for breaking into compartments (of course, it depends on the wallbreaker level). I only go without if i'm specifically raiding collectors/mines.

I have found a new strategy Thats actually better than barch/bag in many ways for farming. This is best used in gold 3/ silver 1. Basically, you fill 3 barracks goblins and 1 barrack barbs. Then, for us th8s with no use of lix, you throw in some lvl 5 heal spells. I have made millions per hour and it's insanely effective.

i would like to see some proof of "millions per hour"

Agree, BARCH is amazing. I'm currently upgrading my th to 9, once I get my army camps upgraded I'm gonna start throwing in some wb's.

I wish u wud have come across BARCH earlier...its really good for farming...

but guys lets not hype it up or BARCH might get nerfed soon lol

As far as I can tell, PEKKA are good for stuffing into my clans castles if you're a spy? Why would anybody want a PEKKA in a clan castle again? lol

yep above all I've ever used.

And if you come across that 100k/40k base, ... YOU STILL GAIN ELIXIR. sweet

Either you waste time, elixir or you lose the raid.

I use barch + 10 minions, I bring in the minions if I need a couple extra percent and feel I am low on trophies, or if there is no air coverage around one last source of loot.

I just pulled the trigger on TH9 so I'm saving DE for the AQ.

collectors only? do you have a vid?

Barching all day Saturday and a little this morning

1 th7
both basically maxed except walls
each with 3 barracks running (one was upgrading in each)
each with about 80-90 barbs, 90-100 archers and 5-10 minions

Just dropping a big string of barbs where I wanted to attack, then a big string of archers behind them, never checking for clan castle troops (but dumping some BARCH in front of them if they came out), using minions only to clean up an extra percent or grab that last bit of loot somewhere.

I piled up ~18ish skull walls (no joke) in my th8, and about 40-50 purple crystal walls in my th7. I got my 2 all time high raids (760k in the th8, 705k in the th7 (combined of course)) a couple more over 600k, another half dozen over 500k. And I wound up having to intentionally lose to keep in the same trophy range because I won almost any time I tried. When my elixir wound up maxed in both accounts I started bringing 3 lightning to hit a mortar or DE storage.

In total I would guess I pulled in well over 30 mil combined resources in a day of BARCHING about every 20-30 minutes in each account. No boosting, no joke. It may have been 20 mil per account.

It sure beats giant/healer. Got old after a marathon like that.

I guess a bit of a necro thread, but I've switched over to pure barch recently. My old army was barch with 3 giants, 30 gobs, and 12 WBs which was quite flexible, but since the update made the WBs unpredictable and stupid, I dropped most of the WBs (save 2) and just straight barch. Since troops now mostly target the same wall pieces, barch is even more effective than it used to be.

The WBs still need to be fixed tho. I'd carry more if they were.

And you commented badly about rage spells with one month of experience? Try it and come up to certain lvl . Well nice try being sooo pro
