It's a new dark troop called the golem: 400 or 450 dark elixir, targets defenses, 4000hp , low attack rate is the downside. Housing space is 30. Sort of like a really though giant.

Downside to golem (prediction):
1) will cost 500 DE and take 1 hour to train
2) will cost 100k DE and 10 days to upgrade to lvl2
3) will cost 5 million elixer and 12 days to upgrade dark barracks

A lot of it is based on two things:
When its ready - all the development and testing has been completed
Then when Apple release it - usually this is fairly quick but you never know
Everyone wants it now, but I think most of us would agree we don't want it buggy - getting it right is incredibly important for everyone
But we do know what we can do while we are waiting :)

Too be honest I love this game, but supercell are disappointing me with the new updates.
The hero update was the last good update in my opinion. I'm happy with my barbarian king (which is currently upgrading to level 7) but with the dark troops update I was disappointed, minions are cool but I will probably never upgrade them. I would love to use the hog riders and upgrade them but its 14 days for the first upgrade. Really? I know they're trying to make money here but it's taking the fun out of the game. It would be much better for the majority of players if the dark troops took about 2-3 days for the first upgrade which is bare able. Not to mention that the golems cost 450 dark elixir, 4,000,000 elixir and 8 days to upgrade to. I probably will never use them considering I'm saving dark elixir for my Barbarian King. Thanks for reading and don't get me wrong I love this game, I just think supercell needs to make this a little more for the majority of players.

The spells used to take 14 hours to make when they were first introduced. The Heroes' regeneration time was huge before they brought it down with future updates. There is no indication that SC might never change the upgrade times for these new troops, as they've reduced time in the past.Quote:

Another good idea that would offset this, is if there were an upgrade at some point for the lab, that would allow for a second update to occur concurrently.
I think the Laboratory works fine just the way it is. The time you wait for your troop to upgrade, provides you with enough time to collect your 2.5+ mil elixir you need for the next upgrades. I upgraded my Dragon to lv 3 as soon as it upgraded to lv 2, right after my Barracks lv 9 was constructed. Planning helps in these situations. It took a total of 21 days, but it was easy to collect all the necessary resources in that time period.
Yes, but we are talking about 2 different resources. Dark troops take dark elixir, while regular troops take regular elixir. I also like the last suggestion about making it so the current lab can produce one regular troop upgrade while also working on a dark troop upgrade.Quote:

This might make using DE units possible at TH7 and a definite at TH8. At TH9 with max pumps, you should have enough DE coming in to regularly upgrade your DE units, BK, and AQ and still use DE units when appropriate. I would personally love to be able to build a 2nd research facility at TH9, but I highly doubt they will do that.
4) Supercell has to make money somehow. I personally rather them shift to have us pay for speed rather then have obscene upgrade costs (here's looking at you 6million+ L6 units). If you're short on money, get a job. If your job pays bad, think about how much time you spent clash of clanning and other things you spend money on and either cut out extras ($4+ cafe mocha lattes) and use the saved money to speed up things, or just be patient and wait. Also, as far as I know you can get money still from donating blood and or plasma, so you could always go help save a life and use the money to buy your fifth builder hut, or speed up something. ;)
5) The league system is going to be so game changing that all my speculation above could be bunk depending on how it works out when we get our hands on it.
A dark elixir lab and an elixir lab would be something of a CoC wet dream. Right now without speeding up things it takes around 138 days to upgrade just the minion, hog, and valk to max. Add in the upcoming golem and well, it'll be about 1/2 a year just to get those maxed. Lets also not forget that spells are upgraded too in the lab.Quote:

Sad, but I'd be ten times as pumped up about an update if they posted a teaser video of old problems being fixed that actually work properly opposed to something else new to further throw the game out of whack.
That was the most useless update video. I was hoping to see how long it took to destroy a structure or a walls. Instead it didn't even attack once or split.

I think valvatorez has his views and i find some of what he says valid. The research times are prohibitive for de troops and for that reason im just not keen to invest in them. Unlike him, i have no issues with raiding enough de which i use for bk and aq. It was tough initially when the economy just didnt exist. But not so now. The dark troops were meant for lvl7 to lvl9...but there is an imbalance with the lab for those who have not already maxed all older regular troops and spells. Hence why it seems de troops are only meant for th9 folks. I call it an imbalance because i do not think supercell meant for it to be that way.
