Paints for buildings?

Buildings are starting to look boring. Why not create a paint system where you can buy new paints for your buildings with gold and elixir, and then set your base to your taste. You could have style sets like princess, or dark overlord, or total badass. then everyone could have an even more personalized base, drawing even more of a crowd. Then have a contest for best looking base, weirdest style etc. then announce the winners on facebook/twitter. with different prizes of gems or resources or what not.

i like the idea of customization for graphics, not sure if the servers could handle it but being able to at least have your clan colors more visible than a small flag over your CC would be cool.

Putting designs and/or changing colors will not be server friendly, i mean it will actually slow down the servers and the game.

The waterfall was removed because of its moving graphics, which is graphic intensive that actually made some players crash.

so the original base designs are pretty fine.

All in all, the idea of base colors, paints and other decos are really good but i hope SC likes it

You all have good points, but i agree with iron999gary. We should at least have the clan colours showing in our base, even if it is only on a few building. Flags maybe, like on the AT it could be flags of your clan. And on certain buildings have designs based on rank in you clan.

I would love this idea except it might create confusion when i attack others. such as, "What level is that archer tower?" I need to know stuff like that to make a raid successful.

But it would be fun to have a rainbow colored base.

Yeh that's what I thought...

thats why i said flags too, if they just added clan flags on buildings, it could still look the same, but with a flag on it, or even just a different coloured building by itself. What if i wanted all my buildings a dark mahogany colour, then i should be able to change it.

like the idea thought i know that will rejected for server purpose..

how about give more new clan castle flag design?

but it would be cool if our flag could showed up on some buildings.. nice idea

i remember the waterfall was removed, would having different colours slow it down a lot (I don't know programming at all). I like fluents idea of a few other flags being on buildings, example archer tower instead of the black level 11 it could be your clans colours. again don't have a clue on performance if things get switched up, good ideas though clashers.
