Warring as part of a barch pushing strategy?

Are wars considered part of a push strategy when pushing with barch?

One of my clan members is a TH8 pushing with barch and is finding himself running low on gold but not elix. He was considering switching to a non stop war clan because he thinks warring would help him earn gold during the push to allow him to next. My thoughts are that wars don't really help and he's better off filling his storages first and then starting the push.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone uses wars as part of their push strategy? He's also just trying to get as high as he can so later in the pushing process my guess is he would want to switch over to another attack strategy in which case constant wars would really hurt him at that point.

well when you war in any case you have to win the war to earn the loot. You can push with the same amount of wars you guys have. you probably will be running low on gold because of nexting so i suggest reading sparhawk's thread of how he pushed to champions league and made it as a th7/th8 that may help your fellow clan-mate.

The only reason why he's low on gold is because he has to press next so much. The only reason why he has to press next so much is because he's trying to push with the worst possible army comp (barch). Tell him to use a more appropriate army comp for pushing.
