My first thought would be to do your walls, which is unusual for me to say.
The boost is for one week, so assuming you don't gem the build time on the TH, you wont see much benefit at TH8. If you do gem the build time to take advantage of the boost, you are giving away a lot of the benefit.
I'd max walls while you still get Th6 loot but it's up to you - the only good thing you're getting at Th8 (offense-wise) is level 5 troops, while you're losing 40% loot or so from th6 and 10% or so from th7s and now th9s will attack you for EZ moneys. :3
At least try and get half of your walls to purple, as it will save a lot of time when you get to TH 8
max walls.
TH7 is the easiest level for raiding.
So many collector loot bases. And no penalties.
And I've maxed every single TH lvl until now, so I know what I'm talking about

Always max walls!! At any th level, even at th9:) My way to look at is, prolong your fun that you are having - thus max everything in your base, take your time:) In the end you will benefit from this greatly and will be glad you maxed them:o
Max your walls. Town hall 8 is the point where a lot of F2P players quit because farming is much more difficult.
your walls should be level 5 minimum. I went to town hall 8 with level 5 walls which wasn't a good idea at all. Your cannons should be level 7 and your archers level 6. your mortars should be level3 minimum and your wizard towers level 2. thats what i would suggest. also having healers at that point would be good but isnt a major priority.

so i upgrade to lv 8 to uprage some wall on spare time and maybe get skull a little bit
