i have a th8 and just upgraded to golems and am wondering the same thing ... its sounds like a very good tactic right now i use 2 or 3 pekkas and the rest lvl 5 wiz i usually three star in clan wars... Having 200 troop capacity also helps
I have gotten 2 stars on some decent TH9s as a maxxed TH8 with level 3 pekka and level 1 golem.Quote:

I've been using GoWiPe and it's really effective.
It takes time and practice knowing which base to attack and how one should go about it, but it's a really fun strategy as it takes real skill to use them effectively.
I would say no yo the golem unless you make it lvl 2 or 3.. I find level one golems quite useless for anything except tanking and then its really only good for tanking through the first level of defenses because it does such low damage and destroys stuff SO SO SLOW. They just take to much space and are not very effective at level one. I would stick to pekka and wiz. Also throw in some minions to take out collectors and storages fast and also 20-30 barbs to throw down with your king. I find sending 15-20 barbs with king very effective if your king is level 5+
That's the point of golems, to tank. They aren't supposed to destroy defenses, the wizards and pekkas do that.Quote:

if you want to attack th9's that are well developed then it helps to get them some lvl's.
I just got my golems to lvl 4 and they rock. tank a bunch of damage. they are usually the last things to die if you use them effectively. ie. making sure theirs some wiz following right behind them.
I think that GoWipe is viable when pushing for trophies, but I would not recommend it for pushing, I use it in clan wars or on revenge only. I think that you should just snipe th's if you are going to push, it is cheaper and takes up less time to train a couple of archers or barbarians. Once you get high up in trophies it gets harder to find town halls unprotected so you should use barch to get 50%. I would recommend cooking up a GoWipe army before you go to sleep or when you know you will not log on for a while. My GoWipe army composition(200 troop capacity) is: 2 Golems, 3 Pekkas, 12 Wall breakers, 10 Wizards, and 1 barbarian. 2 rage and 1 lightning, cc with 6 wizards, and lost but not least, your barbarian king(preferably level 5+)
it's also a great war attack if the opposing base is set up to deal with hogs.
