golem vs. giants

Considering about their spaces, 1 golem equals 6 giants

Giants lvl 6:
dps 40
hp 940

golem lvl 4:
dps 50
hp 6000

Only lvl 4 golem can match 6 giants in hit points, and still lose on dps.

Doesn't this mean that golem is completely useless before level 4?

Once one of the giants gets killed, the chances that it attacks another giant are the same as attacking a wizard next to it.

You forgot that golems split into two golemites after they die :rolleyes:

Nope your forgeting golemites and that their unaffected by spring traps and less affected by splash defense

You also need to take into consideration Giants are affected by spring traps which can automatically cut down on their tanking ability. Another factor is that Golems also split up into two smaller golems.

Due to preference, I prefer Golems. They have more staying power and are more consistent.

The poor Golemites are susceptible to spring traps though


I like the idea of splash towers doing even less damage to my tank troop over time too

Ahah although Balloons/Dragons are my tanks

Because 6 giants will be lifted by spring traps and 1 golem won't- golems. Also cause they explode into golemites and they have more hp (what they're used for). So yeah, thats my opinion

This is for me the main reason.

They serve to tank, so DPS is less important. What is important is they tank all troops.

As others have said. Don't underestimate the damage of splash and spring traps. Golems win in every situation that you would need 6 Giants. Giants are for tanking in smaller situations such as one or two towers at a time or for pulling cc.
