Is GOWIPE the best TH9 clan war strategy?

I'm a TH9 and I normally use mass lvl3 dragons for clan wars.
However, I used Gowipe for the first time in my last war and managed to get an easy 3 star on a mid level TH8.

My hogs are lvl4, balloons lvl5, minions lvl4, Pekkas lvl1, Golems lvl1.

Right now, I'm deciding which troops to upgrade so that I can get 3 star victories in clan wars.

Are hogs lvl5 still the best, since there was a giant bomb buff?
Should I upgrade my balloons and minions and go Balloonions?
Or should I focus on my Pekka and Golem and go with Gowipe?
Or forget all of the above and keep using lvl3 dragons (I can only get 2 stars on other TH9...and sometimes only 1 against max TH9)

i'd definitely upgrade those golems asap..

also @th9 i find the best strat for the 3star is gowiwi.... the one u didnt mention.

yes later on gowipe becomes stronger than gowiwi... however that change happens @th10 when pekkas get 2 more upgrades.
i think once you upgrade ur golems u will find gowiwi is the more consistant 3star strat for th9 on other th9's.

Actually, if you are a th9, stick with gowipe, not gowiwi. Gowiwi depends upon on high level heroes. Generally, town hall 9's dont have level 20 heroes. But if you do, then both strategies are suitable.

I'd say balloons and minions. Why? You can use them for casual farming, too. I have never seen someone using golems and PEKKAs while trying to farm.

The whole point of the game is to develop a strategy tailor made to your opponent's base to gain maximum advantage so what you meant by 'best' is just 'generically good' at best.

My general farming army is balloonion. Work's great. It also can be effective for getting 2 stars on mid, to semi-high level TH9s depending on base layout.

GoWiWi is by far the best, but i find level 2 witches to be a significant bump, and the whole army seems pricey for clan wars (for me, trying to get AQ and BK to level 20).

I use gowipe regularly because

1. It's fairly low cost on DE. You can get away with 1 golemn and 4 pekkas.
2. If you can get your pekkas to behave, they are devastating as they get to the core
3. you can 2 star almost every base, 3 star the mid-weak TH9s and take on some of the less mature TH10s.

I found that lvl 3 golemns and lvl 3 pekkas is where i really started to be effective in CW with gowipe. I switch up between 2 golemns and 3 pekkas and the 1 golemn and 4 pekka combos.

I'm a fresh TH9, so my BK is lvl10 and AQ is only lvl4. So that's why I'm going Gowipe.
I'll give 2 golems, 3 pekkas as well as 1 golem, 4 pekkas a try.

It depends on how good you are with bloonion. If you do all the right steps you should always be able to 2-3 star a mid-level TH9 base.
