Gowipe can be tricky...advice for a gowipe noob please.

Hello guys. I'm a th8 with lvl 5 wiz, 5 wbs, lvl 2 pekkas, and lvl 1 golems, and ive had mixed results with gowipe in clan wars. I fought today, and things were looking great, but i kid you not that two of my pekkas that had entered the base walked out and followed the bk around the outside. What am i doing wrong because I have a hard time convincing pekkas to go to the th? Maybe it's the bases im picking. I've watched videos, and I think I have the procedure down, so should i chalk it up to the pekka ai being sonewhat unpredictable? I got two stars but I felt i should have three starred. Here's a pic of what happened...notice anything glaringly wrong to tell me? Ty in advance. You can see they entered, destroyed a bunch, and the circled outside.

i wanted to add that I lost five wiz to a gb i didn't pick up on....my error.

Peeka AI is not flawed...

Its: look in a big range for something without walls and take the closest one. You need to path them with wallbreakers more than you need to path Giants...

Thank you. Ill check this out. I'm honestly practicing so I'll be somewhat versed when I hit th9.

Wow....that kid had some skill. As a th8, I'll have to temper my expectations a bit, but I did pick puma few things.

I'm certain others will disagree with me but here's what I do and it keeps them going straight. I use 2 pekka 2 golem 14 wiz 5 wallbreakers and 10 barbs and archers. 1 heal 2 rage
1. Do not lure the cc. I know. Sounds crazy.
2. Pick a flat side and destroy buildings there.
3. Deploy both golems and wallbreakers to path the pekkas as one poster put it very well.
4. Deploy all wiz. Cc will come out. Rage wiz and then heal them
5. Deploy pekkas before cc troops are destroyed. The cc troops help to pull pekkas into the center.
6. Rage again
7. Barb king in last

It's a bit unorthodox and sometimes pekkas do their own thing like dragons. But I do hope this helps. Since you are practicing, give it a try.

Just to support that, the cc really do help bring your troops to the middle. i used roughly same tactic when i was th8

I carry 2 Golems, 2 Pekka, 9wbs, and 18 wizards. Enough wallbreakers are the key to getting Pekka to where you want them to go.

Clear outside buildings

make sure to clear the outside buildings because pekkas r stupid. If you can make the path to center smaller than nearest outside building you will be able to get to the town hall.

I use 2 golems, 3 pekkas, 15 wizzies, rest archers for luring and stuff, and then wbs in CC.

your right it is tricky

The main couple of things in gowipe are to make sure and spread our your golems and to clear all the outside buildings.
So first you drop your golems on one side but spread out so not in the same place.
then you drop 2 or 3 wall breakers to break a hole.
next you drop your wizards in a line to clear all of the out side buildings
then drop one of your pekka, if she vears off to the outside then wait untill she clears some buildings before dropping your other pekka, king, cc
this will insure that your pekka and king go into the center of the base and get you at least a 2 star victory

What I do is clear off a few buildings with a couple wizzies then throw in the golems and my wbs from CC then I throw some more wizzies in to clear more buildings around there and then launch all three pekkas behind the golems and then I throw in the rest of the wizzies.
It works most of the time against th8 and th9.

Im th8 as well but dont have pekka yet, what i use is 2gollems, 14-16wbs, 21-24wiz, about 8 arch or so, and the rest barbs w/ 1heal 2rage

im not sure what type of bases you attack but this is what i used for the bases up in master 3 and would 2star any th9 and 1star most th10s up there (sometimes two star if their base wasnt a maxed base and their infernos were set on single) hope this helps :)
