Give us a bench to choose from

So, during one of my many raid runs I came across a TH10 base with crazy loot that I would have loved to GoWiPe but had a Valk/Giant army prepared looking for abandoned TH9's when the following idea occurred to me....

Let us have a bench!!

Let us train say 450/500 troops to put on the bench but only allow us to use however many our army camps will allow (240 for me at max TH10). This would make raiding so much more interactive, allowing us to make changes to our strategies on the fly (swap a few hogs for a healer or drop an extra golem in place of a PEKKA and wizard etc.).

It's not that dissimilar to a Football teams bench, and would open up a lot more possibilities for crazy raids. Just a thought for the next upgrade guys

This is a really good idea, but extremely difficult to implement, and get very confusing as well.

I love the thought, and if they could come up with a good way to apply it, I am down.

Although this would be nice for the person raiding, I feel it's overpowered.

You gotta use what you bring to the right, can't call in ringers.

This would work negatively against you too. imagine your DE storage is overflowing and the attacker on his other bench has 5 lightning spells queued. Goodbye DE.

Or even if it's not spells, they could cater the fight to expose your base weakness if a certain upgrade or few upgrades are happening to say air defenses or mortars or something. They can expose your weakness and rip you apart for a lot of resources lost, only because they were able to choose the perfect army to defeat you instead of pressing next because they didn't want to use all dragons against your base.

To me, the game is better without a "bench".

Not sure Kimchi, if I've got al Dragons I'll wait for a base with ads down or xbows empty before raiding, but I might have taken a BARCH that was too good to miss prior to attacking that ad down base if I could change on the fly. And if you're a good TH10 like me you'll be getting lots of resource on any atk you make and also getting plenty taken from you up in Masters and Champ leagues regardless.

That's exactly what I mean, you have to make the tough decision when you come across a lucrative base whether you want to use the wrong army for that base, or click next. It's usually still worth it to attack the base with the wrong army as long as it's not completely wrong. This is part of the game and should stay this way. It's overpowered to have multiple armies queued at your fingertips to raid an enemy with a specific army composition that just happens to be able to rip them apart, that's unfair. If you guessed right and got the right army to destroy them, that's good for you. SC can't make it THAT easy for us.

I think I'm doing alright with my 664 mil Gold Grab achievement. You're getting there with 65 mil.

And I think I'm doing ok with my 2993 trophies in my sweet victory achievement. You're getting there with 2608.

no, this would be unfair, I already have enough people with strong armies attacking me, this would just cause more havoc.

agree'd, I don't push further then my 2609 achievement, because no real incentive. (the bonuses are not worth it hen my army costs that much more)

exactly. Like you Phyxios, I also did the masters push at TH9. I could easily grind the trophies into champ league now if I wanted to, but the return on investment just isn't there, so I'm not going to do that push until I have maxed out my TH10 army. If TH11 comes out before I max out TH10, then I'll put off that push because once again, it's not worth the cost when you can be spending that time/resources farming and building up your base.

Having said that, there's nothing wrong with trophy pushing. It's just inefficient when you already have 5 builders.
