To answer this question, you would really need to say what TH level and how upgraded your defenses and walls are.
Due to the update giving 1.5 damage against hogs, if you get attacked by hogs then upgrade your Giant bombs.
If you don't get attacked by hogs, I guess you probably have other priorities to work on.

If placed correctly in your base, Giant bombs can stop an entire hog attack. I upgraded all of mine to their max level for my th8 (level 3) without hesitation. Of course i would still recommend upgrading more important defenses like your Wizard towers and mortars first.
Ok since a lot of you have said it depends on my base, here it is. I know my base is premature. And I know it's easy to get giant bomb l3, but I hv bigger upgrades like teslas and wizard towers to get to. Just wondering.
well if you've got an anti-hog base, it seems natural that you would want your giant bombs higher. plus if nothing else, the new design is worth it.Quote:

I think it's worth it; however, I'm knocking out my traps after my defenses are done and likely will knock em out while my TH is being upgraded to lvl9.

I dont care about the deco placement. I mean its a anti hog base. It's designed to make em go all around the base in a circle. So if his hogs survive long enough, they ARE going to get bombed
worth every penny. if you are in a league where players actually use hogs and you are a TH8 or 9, this is one of the most important defenses you can have. they are cheap and fast to max out, so max them soon, long before you max other defenses
