So whenever I tap attack button I get a warning about my shield that it will be lost sometimes while searching for targets, I think better of it and decide not to attack but my shield is lost. My request is simple if I dont attack dont take my shield away. I just want this minor tweak to be added.

No.
It asks you whether or not you want to take the risk and lose the safety of the shield. If you agree and then don't find sufficient loot, and want your shield back, that is your own problem.
The confirmation screen is there for a reason.
I'd be all for this. I don't see the harm in being allowed to browse with your shield intact. You'll still loose it if you attack.
If I search for a target and lose connection, then I would like to see that the shield does not get lost.
So losing the shield when attacking would be more fair.

If you get to attack someone else its only fair that other people get to attack you when they do the same.

And what Dano and I are saying is that when you decide to attack someone it gives you a warning message saying that your shield will be disabled if you choose to attempt to attack someone. I don't think trolling around bases looking for the sweet honey pot base, and keeping your shield if you don't find said base is not fair at all.
