Sweet victory gets updated whenever the player is online, if he won defences whilst offline he could be pushed above his current record without changing it. So nothing suspicious there

Gemming a base from level 1 to fully maxed including heros and walls costs a little over $11,000 USD.

You are right, gemming isn't che@ting. I just can't see anyone choosing to spend that much on a younger base. I can only see someone spending a lot of money like that to push to the top of the leaderboard. You are also right that 11,000 isn't much to some people, but that's far from common! If you are saying that was Justin Bieber's base then I regret not truly attacking it...
