Resource converter - hear me out!!!

I know I'll probably be executed on live television for even trying to suggest this, but since so many people have been, this is way that will benefit Supercell if they decided to do this.

Resource Converter - THESE FIGURES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU THINK
Size: 4x4

Level 1
Cost: 750 gems (can be saved up but is hard)
Hitpoints: 1000

A level 1 resource converter converts 10% of gold/elixir into gold/elixir, 0.1% of gold/elixir into dark elixir, and 20% dark elixir into gold/elixir. A level one converter has a conversion limit of 500,000 of the original resource. You can top this up while converting. The conversion rate is 100 per second (so if you convert 10,000 elixir into gold, it will take 100 seconds to produce 1,000 gold.) While converting, 50% of any resource that is waiting to be converted can be raided, and 10% of what has already been converted.

Level 2
Cost: 1000 gems (can be saved up but is extremely hard, and it will force people to choose between 4th builder and converter)
Hitpoints: 1250

A level 2 resource converter converts 20% of gold/elixir into gold/elixir, 0.5% of gold/elixir into dark elixir, and 30% dark elixir into gold/elixir. A level two converter has a conversion limit of 1,000,000 of the original resource. You can top this up while converting. The conversion rate is 200 per second (so if you convert 10,000 elixir into gold, it will take 50 seconds to produce 1,000 gold.) While converting, 50% of any resource that is waiting to be converted can be raided, and 10% of what has already been converted.

Level 3
Cost: 1500 gems (can be saved up but is basically impossible)
Hitpoints: 1750

A level 3 resource converter converts 40% of gold/elixir into gold/elixir, 1% of gold/elixir into dark elixir, and 50% dark elixir into gold/elixir. A level three converter has a conversion limit of 2,000,000 of the original resource. You can top this up while converting. The conversion rate is 500 per second (so if you convert 10,000 elixir into gold, it will take 20 seconds to produce 1,000 gold.) While converting, 30% of any resource that is waiting to be converted can be raided, and 5% of what has already been converted.

Let me know what you think, and if any of the figures should be changed to be more reasonable. Remember, this way, Supercell have an incentive to put this into the game, as it will make more people spend more gems.

Good idea especially when I read it has to be converted using gems.

Overall opinion: Creative, Innovative, and it would work! Thumbs up!

I know that it's ruled out, and I can understand why it's ruled out, which is why I've come up with a way which will benefit Supercell too.

I know, I know, but they did that because people were asking for it to be built with gold/elixir, and convert 100% of the resources that you put in.

This would also solve the problem with people complaining that there isn't enough loot, as the resources in it are lootable.

Most of the ideas involve a conversion tax. This aspect of your idea is hardly new. The fact that it costs gems isn't really relevant. Besides the game already has a way to convert gems to gold, elixir, or de.

Give it up.

I feel that it will be more beneficial if you just buy the gems, because instead of EX: You have 500 elixir and 10 gold and after spending 750 gems you get 50 and now you have 60.
Instead, someone will just pay that same amount to fill a considerable amount of whatever into their barracks.

It kind of is, as that's the motivation for SC to put it in the game. Also, the fact that it costs gems will make people choose between it and an extra builder, and as most people want both, it might make people buy gems. If they buy the resource converter, they might even pay to finish jobs using gems. If they buy the builder, they might have to buy extra resources using gems.

Also, it's a win-win, as buying resources with gems is quite expensive, so people tend to do it less often. A larger long term investment will be better for both us and SC.

It's not win win because you don't know how much people spend buying resources because they can't convert them. The amount of gems you're talking about for the cost of this thing is nothing. You might think it's a lot, but it really isn't.

Furthermore, resource conversion overrides the point of having different resources with defined roles.

It doesn't work using your example, so it won't be too beneficial to lower TH's, but instead of having to spend gems each time you want resources, you spend gems once and can use it for the rest of your time on CoC. Also, the resource conversion rate is defo one of the things that can be changed to make it better.

Right you buy once and then you don't buy resources anymore. How is that win win again?

The starting cost is much higher, at 750 gems, and most people don't buy resources using gems, and if they do, they only do so once or twice (gemming for BK especially)

Exactly Dahimi. The point of 3 resources is to make the game more interesting. If you need to convert elxir into gold, make troops, raid. That's my opinion. And the amount of gems is hardly much, supercell would loose money in the long run if people could simply convert resources you'd always have what you needed

Yeah...you have no actual data to prove that at all. Anecdotal evidence is not actual evidence.

Also it costs 2467 gems to fill my storages. 750 gems is nothing.

Resource conversion is ruled out, even with some modifications to the basic idea.
