TH-8 Base Concerns

I am currently a TH-8, I am looking for a hybrid base design that will help me to not lose trophies and protect resources. My reasoning for this is because in my experience, loot below 1550-1600 trophies is abysmal. Anyone of any ideas? Also, if designing my base, is it better for it to be symmetrical as much as possible to not present a weakness?

Just try to win raids once in a while to balance trophy level or use this base...

It is my TH8 Farming Base and anyone under TH10 that has attacked it has lost unless they remember to snipe my TH which they forget most of the time.
