How's the loot at sub200 for th 8?

Before the new update I use to farm below 200 and it was great because you didn't get big lots very often, but you got fast easy ones, like you coud grab 60 k with 10-15 gobs and just keep looting for almost infinite amount of time. Since the next button glitch was partially fixed it became harder for me to keep my trophies low, but now I'm not experiencing good loot at 900-100, 1200-1300 or 1500+. So I was interested in trying the loot down there again but I wanted to see if any of you had experiences with it in the last week or so?

This is on;y 3rd hand but I heard it's not as good as it was...some bases lower than TH7 are showing up...but that's not from experience just from a fellow clannie who went down there.

It's a grind getting back up as well :(

I would go up in trophies because of the new update coming out.

You should get a head start and bring your trophies as high as possible for the incoming update.

I don't care much for the leagues update, it's interesting but not enough loot incentive for me to start WEEKS early bringing my trophies up.

With level 5 troops, you’ll be able to do very well from ~1000-1600s. No real need to drop sub-200. That gives you more time and flexibility to do other stuff while popping in for another raid or 2. My clanmates call that casual raiding. Of course, your def shd be up to th8 standard to fend off regular attacks. Going to sub-200 requires more work now with the hold-next-button-and-drop-troop trick removed after updates. You need to be online few hours to get enuf to compensate yr effort of dropping down. The minute you log off or disconnected, you’ll be bumped up to 300-400s. On the plus side, you’ve 2^nd stage def wins achievement done in no time. I’ve not been down there since I moved to TH8, so thing may hv changed.
But if you’ve been thru grinding in sub-200s, once you start casual raiding there’s no going back. At least for me. And my lifestyle.

There's plenty of loot there. Inactives not so many. Plenty of TH 7-9s. Plenty of gold and DE and with a bit of planning you could get into a fair number of bases. As a TH8 i ventured there a couple of weeks ago. Every few searches i could find 500+ DE. That being said however it does get pretty tiresome cause people keep trophy dumping and you have to mantain your count around 200. Go to sleep and wake up at 300-400 trophies.

Daddy, there always have been th6 and below down there of course, lots of them. And they are actually what I look for, low th with a good amount of loot you can grab with as few gobs as possible.

@Mufasa, as promised I have gone down there and will let you know how it went. But I gotta go to work now so I'll just give you all a sneak peak.

Obviously, elixir is not what I came there looking for but gold. I also wasn't looking for DE and in fact knew it's a risk to go down there with a good amount of it.

The loot is good if you have the time. If I'm selective enough I can find same loot at 1300 trophies

Here's the continuation of my trip down under.


It didn't start out well. I kept finding bases with some elixir but no gold. Then once in every 10 searches or so I'd see th8-9 bases some with 200/200. My barracks distribution was:


3 dedicated to gobs
1 dedicated to archers (for donating to my clannies)


I ignored the th8-9 bases since my mostly gobs army has no chance of penetrating their defenses and had to make do with lower th which has usually has 10-20k loot, lucky to find one with over 30k. I was rusty at first and would use more gobs than necessary or did not stop fast enough to prevent shielding.

I did not attack him even if I had some archers to use and my Cc troops. If it was Illy jr himself I would have.

This one I only had to use one gob but had my BK help out to be faster. Loot was completely safe from defenses but the mines/collectors were empty. I'm sure a lot had feasted on it already. Still I got to search him 3 times in a row for a total of 60/60k loot expending 3 gobs and about 4 searches (580 gold each) so not bad.


Then it was time to catch some zzzz's and I decided I'd leave my base there in the sub 200.
