Add a clan feature: Cannot request until donated x troops

***THIS FEATURE WOULD BE TOGGLEABLE NOT FORCED***


I believe we should add the following feature as an option (with a selectable number).

Enable Donation Requirement: 25 (Requires a player donates 25 CC capacity of troops before they can request themselves)


This should help eliminate clan hoppers drastically! People should not be allowed to abuse the system, and most clans have this requirement anyways!




Just an hour ago someone joined our clan, requested received troops from someone, and then said "haha ♥♥♥♥ers, im out" and left the clan...

first of all, you should like hopers! they mean free xp... secondly, i think this would add coding for nothing... if it doesn't, i'm all for, if it makes the game lag... not so much.

Free XP that does... what exactly? Oh right nothing. XP has no value.

However seeing Hoppers come in, request, and leave is more annoying than the reward of 25 XP.

what happens to request and leave clans

im guessing you are town hall 7 or below and dont know anything about the game and good clans

Even the WIKI on XP says it has little or no value.

The only thing XP tells someone is how long you've played the game (mainly).

Xp fills up the little blue bar at the top left hand side of your screen making your player level increase over time. If you don't want the free xp hoppers offer its simple really, don't donate to them. I am yet to find a good clan that cares about donation ratio

Some clans have and xp level requirement, so having a higher level could get you into a better clan. Also, it just makes you look better in general. (not that you necessarily are, but still)

We dont need randoms joining and taking our doantions, donationsa re not free they cost us, the donators elixir or dark elixir, as well not everyones going to know of they have donated before or not, or take the time go go look.

Don't give good troops to people who just joined. Simple as that.

That aside, I'm ok with this feature provided the leader can toggle it on and off meaning that request and leave clans would be unaffected. One thing to note though is how does this work in a new clan? Kind of a chicken and egg thing eh? Can't donate if no one can request.

here is an example, guy joined sat in clan for 24 hours did nothing, requests a few timesi n a row, at this point no one see's he is new to the clan from the chat, they donate. after awhile he leaves.

0 donations but 100+ received.


this kid had played the game for 1.5 years + (1500+ obstacles cleared) and ONLY had 2k donations. with 400+ mill gold farmed (and elix)..

that is the intention as a feature, something they can toggle, that way no clans forced to do it, but it is an option and may stop all the threads about clan hoppers who do this ♥♥♥♥.

If you're too selfish to donate troops to people who join the clan, then don't donate to new members.

people change, give people a chance, you never know. at this point we need to build up more strong higher leveled players, he fit that category.

Well here is what you do. Create a simple clan website using a free hosting service. Put on there some information about your clan such as what you're about, what your policies are, and most importantly what your rules are.

Send all future recruits to that site and tell them they must read it before applying. Then in the rules, add a simple rule that says you have to do something when requesting. For example, one clan I know says that you must always specify that archers are ok during a troop request.

Now simply kick all new people that don't follow that rule when they first request. All but the most determined hoppers will be kicked immediately.

thats a lot of work for 4 lines of code (as a programmer I know this would be easy... maybe a few more lines to put in the logic but it'd be easy.. >.<)

It's may be easy, but it isn't simple. As I said before you have to deal with the chicken and egg case.

Take the free xp and friend in need help, if I didn't donate all that I have I would be in some crappy clan full of th 7 lvl 50s but I donate a lot so I'm in a clan full of th8+ lvl 70+
