My first th8 farming base I designed my self.

Imagine all youre defenses in groups... Mortars need to be in a triangle. Wizard towers need to be also. They should be in a pretty good triangle at that

I really don't know what exactly was your thinking on this base. It's a farm layout but all your storages are easily exposed. New TH8's are going to want to save elixer for lab upgrades and your updated base actually does less of a job protecting storages than the first. The gold storage is also easy to reach.

Aside from being an obvious premie, I still can't see anything good really about this base. Your wiz towers are in a weird format, and overall....it's just a mess. When base building it's important to triangulate splash defenses as a TH8 (mortars, Wiz towers) and AD's as well for overall coverage. Segmented storages are also key as you don't want them taking everything if you were to just pile everything into the center.

Centralizing the BK also plays a key role in your defense now that royals can't be lured. All these things are the building blocks for making a decent base.

Now the good things. I see that your CC and BK are centralized, that is good. I'm not so sure the wiz tower is doing that much there (better zapping tier one troops IMO, or protecting multiple storages with other defenses). I also like the double giant bombs. Good for hogs, and best used by or between a defensive tower. Your storages are segmented which is also good though they aren't that well protected. Protect them with a wiz tower and maybe some traps.

I commend you for trying your own, rather than copying like 99.9% of the forum members do...but overall maybe a 5/10....and I feel that's slightly generous. You've got some things right, but still needs to go back to the drawing board.
