Villager roles, better camps
Everyone knows how the women clap, the troops run around the camps, the clan castles fire glows in the doorway, the builders sleep when they are not busy. Its all part of the game. But have you ever thought it was a little bland or something was missing?
What if the camps were actually organized? They troops run around in circles, no point, just a big mess. Maybe they could have seats, logs to sit on around the fire, roast some ham or sausages. They could have little speech bubbles above their heads, talking about battle, tales or whatever troops talk about in a camp before war. It would look more authentic and less like lab rats.
You know those little clapping women who jump around your walls? They don't do a lot besides that. They could go around doing some chores, sweeping the town hall, checking the Xbow string, cleaning the cannons, bring arrows to the archer towers, bringing the builders a drink, tending the camp fire. Another thing they could do is honor the dead with flowers. When you open your game after being attacked, your villager women will visit all the graves stones. They may have been the ones to come and hurt you but it's just out of respect. They could have naps in the town hall, and gather together to chat, as anyone would do, more of a village feeling.
I would love feed back and other ideas to add. I haven't heard of this idea before. Small things make the big difference.
