Am I ready for TH8?

Hey guys,

What do you think I should do? I've been a near-maxed TH7 for a long time now, and I've just been farming for walls recently. Here's my base:

My barb king is level 2 and I have ~100 purple walls. In terms of lab upgrades I still have Minions→lvl2, Hogs→lvl2 and Rage→lvl4 left to complete. I haven't done my rage spell yet because I can save 1.8 mil easily while getting the 2mil for TH8.

Anyway, what do you think I should do?

I am thinking of 3 options:
1, stay and max all walls.
2, keep grinding DE for barb king lvl 5 using spare gold for walls, then upgrade.
3, Start saving for the TH upgrade and while I'm at it, get the extra 1.5k DE for minions level 2.

I don't really use minions, I usually just donate them, and I have never (and won't for a long time) used hogs.

Any opinions are appreciated.

I would strongly recommend that you max your walls, as you could probably do it in a couple days.

Yes,
keep working on walls whilst TH is upgrading and get the rage spell upgrading.
Loot will initially be harder at TH8, but will get easier once your barbs and archers are level 5

Are your Tesla's upgraded, if not upgrade them also.

Thanks guys! I definitely won't be able to max my walls in a few days ... In a good day I get 1 and a half hours play time, and with each day I can get about 4/5. I'm a rubbish farmer lol

Also, in defenses EVERYTHING is maxed.

by maxing everything you'll go into TH8 much stronger and give yourself less to do in the long run. Then whilst your TH is upgrading you can start saving so you can upgrade the necessary buildings straight away.

Do what you are capable of

If you think you can farm all walls while the th is upgrading feel free to do it. Bk to lvl 5 is unnecessary at th7 imo as it would be easier to farm de at th8.

I was in the same situation a week back and i upgraded my townhall with two barracks @lvl 8,around 80 lvl 6 walls,BK lvl 2 and minions and hogs lvl 1.
I literally maxed out everything like 4 days before my townhall could finish upgrading and was sitting with idle builders.
So if you are confident enough for walls, surely go ahead and start your th upgrade.it should be fairly easy anyway as you'll have a builder free all time and so you can do back to back raids breaking sheild and dumping gold into walls.
Waiting to finish de upgrades is meaningless..it gets really easy with the drill and lvl 5 troops.its been 11 days for me since i am th8 and my king just went lvl 5 from 2.All the best for th8 :))

I ALSO started upgrading with several walls left to go.

I maxed with 4 days left like this person - i used the last 4 days to max gold and elixir so I could start important stuff quickly like the research lab and buying all the new things and getting all the new walls to 5 at the minimum. The rest of the elixir went to consecutive DE drill upgrades to max (3), and in the meantime I farmed that last bit of elixir to start researching archers to 5.

That's pretty much where I sit now after a couple wars and starting dragons to 3.

Since I barch and war often that was my best bet - when my builders free up I'm gonna work splash defenses next.

Just my strategy as I'm only a bit ahead of you and you may have a different idea, but I hope it helps you narrow down what is best for you.

Also, I think that I will farm for lvl2 minions and then upgrade, 8d should be enough to get the rest of them done. Hopefully :p
