Is there any way to get trophies? I keep finding town hall 8-10 which are too strong for me. And someone town hall 9 just owned my base. I need a good army composition which is not too expensive.

BArch TH8s and snipe every TH.
Depends. What are you doing up there as TH7? Farming (not really I think), trying to get up as high as you can, getting to Master league...
If you just wanna go as high as possible, go for 50% on TH8s and snipe THs, or take the two-star by a 50% and a snipe together.
If farming, go down to Gold league again - or snipe THs and take off exposed drills if you're after DE.
