The Road to a Barbarian King

I am currently sitting at a level TH 8 and I have not yet acquired a Barbarian King. I am sure many people have a similar predicament; but does anyone have a good strategy of obtaining/protecting dark elixer? I find it incredibly frustrating to see my dark elixer levels drop so quickly after one raid of my base, at around 300-500 a raid. I have managed to get around a solid 8,000, and simply cannot reach 10,000. It doesn't help that my walls are a low level and I have around 1.2 million in gold and elixer goodies. Should I upgrade my drill or just keep trying to raid? I have found that NO ONE has another base with a high amount of dark elixer. Buying dark elixer with gems is not an option for me. Any ideas/help? D:

Go to whatever league you want as long as it's not Silver and below.
Bring 3 lightning spells with you.
Drop all 3 on DE storages you find with 1k+ DE.

^If you want to be demolished when they use revenge on you go ahead and do this.

Go to Crystal and take out drills.

1. Lightning spells.
2. Attack exposed drills.
3. When you get close, don't log out until you reach 1k.
4. ???????
5. Barbarian King!

A decent push and steal all my DE, I'll congratulate you and think nothing of it.

Zapping the DE, I'll murder you in your sleep :D

if you have 8000de you can *easily* barch the remaining 2k in a two hour session without logging out esp if you gem barracks. Normally I'd try to get around 5k in a single session.

also, revenge the attacks on you when they have enough de to be worth stealing. I normally do a 1000-2000 de raid each morning with a dragon army brewing overnight :)

IMHO This is really inefficient, you are spending near 60K elixir for a little bit of DE. It is better to snipe to crystal and just barch drill raids and, if you already have spells ready, zap the storage. Sniping alone in crystal 3 nets you 50 DE and 21K gold and elixir for 7-10 troops on a good raid.

I was in that predicament before.. So, what I did was get close to around 8500 DE, push up to crystal 3 and while pushing aim specifically for DE storage and drills.

Once I got to crystal, just snipe or get some easy wins (sometimes u will see lower THs at that lvl) and that is 50 DE per win.. Do similar things for 20 times a day and that is already 1k DE.

Before someone revenge, leave TH out and hope someone snipe and gives you a 12H shield.. Repeat the 20 raids and you will get your 10k DE
