Strange attack - heavy loss

This isn't me complaining or crying about getting attacked, I'm actually quite happy for the 12 hr shield. I just posted this to see if anybody could find a motive for doing this...?

Ok so we're concentrating on the top attack ( 64 archers, 24 wizards, 3 dragons and 3 rages). Now with all of his levels, that totals 154 040 elixir (taking into account his free cc troops of 20 archers) and 108 0000 gold. This leaves, after his rather poor loot, a total loss of 77 900 gold and 128 452 elixir but a profit of 252 dark elixir a modest 11 trophies.

other than trophies and dark elixir I really can't see a point in this, can anyone else enlighten me? There's gotta be easier DE out there and my th was in the corner so it can't be trophies.

The rage use was dreadful, I wish I could post the replay :(

Did you had about 200K gold and elixir each to loot and he just failed ?

If you didnt had this much loot then probably he made too many dragons and wizards and needed a place to dump them :)

Maybe he was testing strategy, or he just leveled up wizies or dragon and wanted to test? Maybe he just made some mistakes, who knows... Maybe he meant to send goblins, but sent wizies instead haha... Maybe not.

My elixir was overflowing but my gold was at about 200k which leaves him about 50k ish to steal? I find more than that in people's pumps which can be retrieved with an archer or 5.

All 3 wizard towers were being upgraded so maybe they just thought they'd easily get everything? I'm trying to upload my base to show you but apparently it exceeds my quota? :s

should be a possibility that they queued wizards in an upgrading barracks then when it finished upgrading they were lumbered with too many unwanted wizards but you wouldn't waste them with three rage spells :p

Most likely just dumping them.

I make that kind of attack too. It looks like an overnight cook off some "fun" troops, usually when I make those attacks it's not about the win or loss but just about messin' around. Particularly if I can't find any good revenges.

Yeah maybe it was his rather late April Fools attack.

So all in all I would be happy that my base held up such an attack !

Similar happened to me. The player was level 75, I'm only 43 ... you can see I'd just defended an attack 15mins earlier, and all my bombs and traps were gone already. Massive fail on the higher player's part. He basically circled the base with archers then let the wizards, Pekka and his CC and wb down in one spot. He looted less than it cost him to make the troops. I'd used up most of my res before logging off so surely he must have seen I wasn't carrying much. Very odd.

I have spent a couple days making dragons for my clan and using mass dragons to farm since I have excess elixir and nothing to spend it on - rather than wasting it...and it's fun too, like the others said!
