Nearing the end of TH8...

Hey guys! I am getting close to finishing with Town Hall 8. I only have to finish cannons from lvl 9-10 and teslas from lvl 4-6. I want to also max my walls. I have about 25 lvl 8 walls and the rest are lvl 7. Any tips that with help me with farming gold for the walls? Right now I am farming in gold 2 around 1625 trophies and the loot is pretty good but I wanted some feedback to find a way to max out as soon as possible. Tips n' tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Loot in Crystal/Masters is more than twice as better loot than, say, Gold 3-2. I'm currently in Crystal 3, loving it. And the abundance of DE (and of course the de loot bonus) is also very helpful.

Still alot of gold and a ways to go. Tesla's also are killer in terms of time to upgrade.

Simply put, Gold 2/3 is where you should be at. Can't get much better than that (in terms of gold/elix).. and if you're using Barch you are pretty much doing it as fast as you can anyway.

Most fast way possible to max? Raid 4-6+ hrs a day boosting all 4 barracks with Barch (or BAM for even quicker armies as all 6 barracks will be cooking). Have one builder on standby for walls.

Crystal 3 is a pretty dead loot zone from my experience. And C2-Masters isn't really efficient to farm as a TH8. Lots of TH9/10's there ready to decimate your base when you log. Armies are also more costly/time consuming to train as you'll need better core troops than BARCH honestly....which might help for pumps but there's also a good chance you will lose alot as TH9/10's have many more structures, therefore more difficult to 50%.

I will say however, it is good for the dark elixer....no doubt about that. But as for gold/elix? Can't really beat Gold2/3 imo and especially if you're trying to fast farm gold for walls.

Your experience was entirely different than mine then. When I was in C3 it would take about 40+ nexts to find a decent base I could farm with Barch, making the nexting costs rack up quickly. Pumps weren't nearly as common in Gold2/3 where I could find 200K each raids much more frequently, and not worrying about whether or not I won't be able to attack it.

Of course it's always the luck of the draw. You have your up and down days.....but personally I'd rather farm in G2/3 where I know I can farm quickly and efficiently with BARCH, rather than trying to weed through a ton of clouds to hopefully find a decent base that I can attack in a league full of well upgraded 9's and 10's. The loot bonus in C3 really wasn't worth it for me as it wasn't so great on the gold/elix. DE of course is a different story.

Bottom line, if the TC want's to max walls and TH8 as quickly as possible, hands down G2/3 is the better league to do it if not hunting for dark elixer. There's a reason why so many recommend the 1400-1800 trophy range for gold/elix and C3 and above for DE. Simply put, because it's overall better for most, personal experiences aside.

Hell, just try both Gold 3 and Crystal 3 and see which one you like.

Go from 1400-1800.. go for collectors, very fast and efficient.. that's where i am and farming lavas, should be a breeze for you with the th7 loot still awesome for you, gl:)

Thanks for the advice guys! I have been hanging around 1650 trophies (gold 2) and it has been working nicely. Just using barch and going for mines and pumps. Everything is going pretty well so far. Hopefully it wont take me too long for all skulls. If any new tips come around I would love to hear them. Thanks again guys!

Be sure you know how long your tessla will take, and plan your builders accordingly.

Otherwise, yeah, I think b-arch is G2 is good for a TH8 with level 5 troops, based on what I've seen lately. Personally I'd add minions and go BAM, if you don't have use for the DE, but up to you.
