TH9 pushing to champs help?

I'm in two minds about attempting to push to champs, so i'm hoping asking a couple of questions will help me decide.


Is there a better strategy other than loonian? I have level 6 balloons, and i'm starting level 4 minions shortly.
Will I struggle keeping resources to next / make troops and spells?
Will I need to boost barracks / buy troops with gems since my defence won't stand?
Do I just avoid max th10s?
Should I use a farming / trophy base?

Any other general comments / advice appreciated.

I'm only a th 8 but I have pushed to masters before.
The best advice i have is to stay online. Also once you get very high like masters 1 you should put your th on the outside for the unlikely chance that someone snipes it and surrenders. It is very costly on gold to find a base to attack because you have to find either underleveled or abandoned bases. I would recommend calculating the cost of your army comp and try to come close to breaking even on your raids if at all possible. Just be patient and you can reach champs.
