When do you send out your CC troops?

When you are in the middle of your session of raiding other villages, you have the option of unleashing your clanmates' donated troops for that extra firepower of more units on your attack. The thing is, when is it a good time to unleash them for you guys?

Of course, it depends on which troops you recieve and use in your clan castle.


Do you release them...

1) At the beginning of the battle to make them the focus of defenses while you have your large army take care of everything else?

2) In the middle of a battle to give support to your army?

3) Near the end as an emergency where you'll think you'll lose a battle and attempt a last-ditch effort to possibly save yourself or die trying?

4) When your opponent's CC reinforcement troops start coming out to counter them and make this a "Clash of Clans"?


You can add your own reasons too if you want!


I'm a 3 myself because I want to reserve them for a battle where I'm might be stopped at 48% and lose if I don't send anything else right away. :eek:

Sometimes to take out CC's, sometimes when I need a couple more troops to finish raiding, sometimes just for the heck of it :D

It depends on what i have in it. I get a lot of dragons and pekka's in my clan as well as archers. If it's archers I wait until i breach the outer walls to release them somewhere for support if needed. If it's a drag I calculate the attack towards a air defence and once it's taken out or about to be I release the dragon. Pekka is much like the archers, I only release her when the outer wall is breached as well as outer buildings so she doesn't run off from the action.

Either 1 or 2

Although I really don't use much CC troops, I usually use them as defense on the village.

#3 doesn't really work for me as a farmer, because they come out of the CC in single file (usually at the boundary of the battlefield). They get pick off one at a time.

i'm with axe on this one - used to use it offensively alot but now i dont touch unless it's there's like 200k resources missed and i can get most with cc.

Well it depends, various situations..I dont use it often. Basically you release troops when you feel the need :cool:, practice makes perfect.

Depend on situation. But the concept is to use them when the main force is not enough to get what I want.

For me they are really a mop up troops to get that last few % if I need the cups or the last gold store if possible, but I only tend to use it once in every dozen or so raids really.

I use to use them at the middle but lately I've been using them only if they are really needed near the end of battle. Unless if it's a dragon I try to search for an opponent worthy of it and use it right away or at least before I log out. Though they are better now on defense than they used to, I feel it is still wasted elixir if they just get killed during a defense.

My clan donates like crazy so I always deploy cc troops in raids.

Deployment depends on troops of course -

Barbs, Archers, Hogs & Valks - I sent em in near the start with the rest of the troops.

Gobs & Minions - Send em in once theres a path through to the storages.

Angels & Dragons - Fire them through as soon as air defence is taken out

A mostly because it actually does work i dont know why but unless giants or golems are there than the defenses focus on the CC Troops giving my dragons and hogs time to kill everything what do you guys do?

Sometime #2 and sometimes #3

I normally drop cc troops only as last resort or if there is a lot of resources cause unfortunately my clan is not always an instant donation. And a cc full of archers is always good on def cause there r always noobs that forget to lure the cc :)

Most of the times #2, and sometimes I use them to get the 1 star.

If necessary, I deploy CC at the end as 'mop up' troops.

I use them in the middle of the battle because they help my troops take out defences. I use them in the middle because I don't want a mortar to kill all my cc archers.

Hmmmmm- revived thread- but the original topic is still up for debate. Forgive me for taking a chance and leaving this open for awhile- I will watch it though to see if it needs closing!

I fail at CC troops because more often than not I drop them when I've thought I've selected one of my own troops but when I do use them intentionally it's usually near the end if I need the extra dps if I'm close to getting another star or more loot.

Reinforcement troops by definition would strengthen your army and give you that one lasst boost! I usually use mine as a last resort (as Kendra has said as well). They're really important sometimes and can give you that edge you need to gain another star in an attack, after your trained troops are diminishing in amount. :)

I use mine as soon as the bulk of my army is deployed, to me its just and extra 25 arch for my bam
