Love your base! Great TH9 design and I already converted my base over to your layout. I am always looking for smarter people than myself with great layouts like yours.
I got lucky at TH8 and someone uploaded a great base design I used. I wish I knew who made that one but it worked from me all through way through max upgrades on everything. Hopefully yours lasts as long too! HAAA!!

Yeah - I just hit TH9 the other day. My base is pretty raw with the new upgrades but I like the layout. My general philosophy about bases is "keep the resources low and constantly upgrade". If you do that and have a decently diesel base most people will just snipe your town hall. It's normally not worth tearing an entire base apart for a low resource reward.Quote:

I checked out the design you linked and I don't think that's my base exactly. It's close, really close but the main thing about the base design I had was there was one single chamber or "moat" as the first line of defense. Once you broke the first wall you were essentially in one huge chamber. The nice thing about that is is would cause giants to walk around the outside of the goodie zone while they got pelted by the defenses and they would hit all the spring traps. I think it was one of the better designs I tried and that's why it lasted so long. I didn't really deal a lot with hogs and super high level players since I was mostly beating on low level TH's for 200-300K worth of stuff. There was never a ton of gold and resources in the base until the end when I finished up the walls.

Great to hear! Personally, I value a hard to lure CC over a centralized dark elixir storage. Might as well put your CC on the outside if it is easy to lure, you know?Quote:

Haha yes, the lack of symmetry is driving me nuts. However the queen up there adds a layer of protection to those storages. I switched back the cc to the original spot....so far, so good.Quote:

This has happened multiple times to Dark and myself now, and it's hilarious. Don't screw with the Queen, leave her south, put the dark elixir in the spell factory spot (to lure attacks from up there even more) and reap the reward.
