L6 Archers Overpriced?

Level 6 Archers take 7.5M elixir to get, doesn't that seem just a bit overpriced? Just think, it only adds 2 damage per second and 4 hit points. Now think about the Level 5 Archers upgrade, it only took 2.25-2.5M elixir for 4 more damage per second and 7 more health. Why does L6 Archers have an unnecessary overpriced cost? Please state your feed back and don't flame/troll, this is a constructive thread.

Level 4 Archers -> Level 5 Archers = 2.25-2.5M Elixir
Level 5 Archers -> Level 6 Archers = 7.5M Elixir

Agreed. I think 5m would be reasonable.

I somewhat agree. The amount of dps and hp that goes up is way too little for it to cost 7.5 mil elixir. The only possible explanation i can think of is that it is probably the most frequently used troops and high demand = high price?

A lv4 pekka is cheaper and a lv6 wizard costs the same. In all honesty, max archers < max wiz or lv4 pekka.

A max dragon is 8mil elixir, only 500k more than a max archer.

The archer being a tier 1 troop, it should definitely be lowered. How much? No idea. 5.5 mil?

I guess it's that overpriced because it's like a final obstacle. You will never have to worry about archers again. Though it does seem outrageous even so.

The tiara makes the lvl 6 archer's upgrade cost worth it.

I like this, sounds legit.

I think they're not too overpriced, because you do use them more often than any other troop (usually). I think maybe 6.5/7 million elixir is a reasonable price, because they do need to be more expensive to upgrade than barbarians :p

no... it's not overpriced

2 dps per archers, so when you use 50 archers, it's total 100 dps added.
if each archers shoot for about 30 seconds, then it's 3000 damage added per raid.

if you use 100 archers, then 6000 damage added,
thats about 5 more buildings/defense can be destroyed per raid

Good point.

Also, it makes sense if you can get something almost-maxed, and then you have to save up for the upgrade that makes you feel like you accomplished something. True, minimal stat change, but it is there to be an accomplishment, I guess

The law of dimimishing returns... Plus, what else are you going to do with your elixir?

I think that they should cost maybe 5 mil. Lvl 6 archers are not much better thAn lvl 5 ones.
