Hey Clashers,
Gotta little question today, I'm between a new and a middle th8, got drags on 2, wiz on 5, barchers on 5 either (barbs are Running). Should I go for golems (unlock) Drags on 3 or pekkas on 2. For farming I mainly use barchers and for cw mainly giwipe and/or giviz (giants Valkyries wizards and sometimes a pekka, too). Makes it more sense to get these golems now or maxing pekka? Also thinkin about dragon for raiding DE in crystal ^^
I'd say do Golems if you can afford the DE. They can tank soooo many hits 0.o However, you have to be skilled at predicting where they will go - it's not like giants where a few can go off track without the raid getting wrecked.
BTW: How good are you at raiding with things like giant wizard? You don't need mass dragons to survive in crystal by any means. Take it from me, I'm a mid TH8 in Crystal who is so comfortable here I'm raiding for loot at this point. :p
If your giants aren't 5, do that. If not, considering you use GiWiPe, then I would say get golems.
I think you should go with your farming troops, hence Drags 3. They absolutely feed on dark!!!!! I run Giwipe in CW too, I love it! Still need a lot of practice with it tho
I think I'm pretty good with I'm giwipe makes fun and with a rage. You just need to beware and see where Funneling could be ;)Quote:

Entirely depends on what you use more. For me it was Drags for war. Regular farming doesn't require GoWipe or Gowiwi, as those are more geared for trophy pushes or war. The cost/train time factor comes into play as well.
Since you've already got your core farming troops done, do whatever you use the most. If you use Pekkas or Drags alot do those. Do golems if you've already maxed BK to 10, or you want more effective tanks for GoWipes/Wiwi's for war.
To get DE here, I simply do DE storage raids with giant wizard. I can usually beat TH9s who didn't max TH8 and have so-so base designs if that's what it takes to get the loot (with or without X-Bows). A key part of my raid is using enough Wall Breakers to get to the core (maybe raging them too).Quote:

Just reread you were talking about golems (unlock). Meh...I wouldn't bother yet. They are quite costly DE wise and you need all you can get at TH8 for maxing the BK to 10 and other dark troop upgrades (as well as saving for the AQ so you can get her immediately at TH9).
They also take up a boatload of space.
GoWipe really isn't that effective until Pekka's are at least lvl 3, and Golems are lvl 2 honestly and much better at TH9...but that's my opinion. Giants also are better for more general purposes/war as they do much more DPS in groups and cost much less in resources and time to train.
I'd probably hold off on the golems till TH9 honestly. 2 lvl 6 drills pumping out 200 per hour helps alot, as well as being a TH9 and being able to hold a higher league more effectively where dark elixer will be more common.
Go ahead and unlock them at TH8, yes...absolutely get both your dark barracks to 4 before you upgrade....but I wouldn't use them much really...not until TH9 or you have all the dark upgrades done you need to.
So Pekkas or Drags in short. Upgrade whatever you use more.
OK my burger king is lvl 3 now and I need 2k more DE for the lvl 4 upgrade. So should I save the DE and pick up those golems later?
Lol all those replies got here while I was writing my answer lol. OK so I'll get those pekkas done and farm myself back to the crystal 3 ^^ want my DE troops and the burger king. I have all DE troops on lvl 1 -,- please don't blame me for this :& :P
