Just wandering, some people I have been raiding have keep their air defense un-guarded, (walls, bombs, ex.), and I was wandering, is it OK to keep your air defense un-guarded.

Generally speaking, no. Maybe you can get away with it a very low level, but for the most part it's just asking to be crushed.
Leaving air defense outside is basically asking to be attacked by air based strategies because it becomes very easy to get rid of the one defense that does real damage to air targets.
It's not a smart idea unless you plan to have it taken out immediately and have a Balloonion Siege on your hands.
I have a feeling this is a question just to spark some discussion about how ridiculous it is to leave air defenses outside...but I'll bite.Quote:

As long as you leave your townhall outside so that the first attacker will give you a shield, couldn't you agree that leaving air towers in sub optimal locations be better to defend against the most common threats which are land troops? I bounce between Crystal III and Gold I but I've only been attacked by ballonion or dragons twice out of the most recent 30 attacks
you must have low loot because around that league higher levels use air all the time
Its like making your roof outside.You have to have it in.You could get healed,minioned,dragged, or anything that flies
Nah, my base is tempting. In general, I've been stuck with +35k dark elixir for the last 2 weeks since I ran out of king upgrades (TH8) and the lab works too slow even though I've been doing dark elixir upgrades. I rarely had less than 2m elixir recently since I ran out of elixir costing buildings to upgrade and my gold is also quite high since I keep farming to upgrade walls before my TH finish upgrading
Edit: Also I mean placing AD at sub-optimal locations instead of deep in the center of the base or behind 2-3 layers of buildings. I'm not saying that AD should be at the edge of the base where a couple of troops can easily take them out
Leaving your air defense is a really bad thing to do especially when your farming as a TH8+. Not only will it be an easy object to demolish, but for people like me. They'll throw out balloons and dragons and wreck your base. So leaving your air defenses outside is not good at all.
It's like saying this: Giant-Healer, Balloonion and BAM, crush me.
