(Guide) TH8 Gowipe

This is for all of you th8's who want something fresh to do in clan wars.
I am assuming that you have 200 army slots.
This is how to make a perfect th8 GoWiPe souffle

Ingredients - 2 Golems
2 P.E.K.K.A's
10 Wallbreakers
15 Wizards
10 Barbarians
Clan Castle (Preferably Witch or Wizard flavor)
Burger King (Lvl 5+)

Equipment - 1 lightening spell
2 Rage spells

Step 1) Lure out the clan castle with the barbarians. Then put down your lightening spell, if a high health unit comes out (Golem, PEKKA, Dragon etc.) Then deploy your Barbs, Burger King, Clan castle, in that order.

Step 2) Put down your Golems, one on 2 sides that are adjacent to each other.

Step 3) Deploy your Wallbreakers in sets of 2

Step 4) Buy a Llama

Step 5) Deploy your wizards, make sure to spread them out.

Step 6) Once you have created a clear path to the town hall, deploy your P.E.K.K.A's.

Great guide! That last pic.. I fainted. But then felt sad realizing BARCH could NEVER (Well, until I max rage spells and BARCH) break into those storages.

As discussed in another thread, is it worth it to draw out CC troops for GoWiPe? In my experience the CC troops get almost instantly nuked by a row of wizards in a rage spell circle. Personally, I go with a 3rd Pekka too at the expense of barbs and some wizards.

It depends on timing and luck. In my last CW GoWiPe attack, due to timing issue, my wizards was just a tad second slow and my 3x Pekkas was roasted by 5-6x L5 Wiz from CC.

Barbs are a waste to draw out the clan castle, and as a level 8 with only 3 spells, you don't want to waste a spell on lightning.

I send in golems , break the walls, as soon as my golems go in the CC troops usually come out...I then drop 6 wiz directly behind the golems, and whenn CC troops come, I drop the rage. The wiz will instantly speed up and go towards the CC troops in the middle of the base, they'll be vaporized in an instant with 6 lvl 5 wiz, and while that's going on, drop more wbs, as they'll be raged and knock out a whole lot lot of walls. I use pekkas in my clan castle, and use 8 valkyrie instead of two pekkas.

Barbs are pointless, and if the CC is in the middle, your barbs are rendered useless

Don't know if it help.. here is my variant

I don't lure the cc (using them to lure MY troops in the middle)

deploy the two golem... send wb to break...

spread a few wiz outisde to clear building near so pekka don't go crazy going around

send the pekkas once the building are taken..

put a rage on golem pekka and wiz going Inside... send few more wb...

when cc come out.. another rage plus almost rest of the wiz (going Inside, deep) plus BK and cc

heal needed where the most troops are gathered in the middle.. at that point, in less than 45 second i have almost all def and core destroyed in the middle (so about 35-40% and TH most of the time)

then i enjoy seeing the rest of the troops going for point defense and building around...

my composition is 2golem+pekka, 18 wiz and 9 wb

I like the idea of putting in that rage spell before CC troops even come out, i gotta try that, I always end up with a leftover one.
What troops do you put in your clan castle? An extra pekka or extra wizards?

I would reccomend putting another pekka in your clan castle because you cant spread your wizards out

Again, great guide! I'm getting pekkas in 2 days. Should I use them right away or max them for TH 8 first?

I take whatever my clanmates give me.. archer help, otherwise, if you want to ask for specific, yeah, either pekka or wiz are great option... even giants could be a good idea to boost dmg on the defense...

you can already use it at lvl 1 golem-pekka... not as impressive as lvl3 pekkas, but you will be able to take on strong th8 and premmie th9 with ease

I'm still getting used to gowipe and only have level one golums, but i like it so far. I'm not sure if im doing something wrong, but when people say you should three star maxed th8 with th8 gowipe, thats not what happens for me. I can usually get 2 stars, but three is somewhat rare for me. It depends on the base design much of the time and cc donations. Since we attack at rank, you take what you get and hope for the best. I'm usually 2 stars and 55-75% damage. Does this sound normal?. Thanks. James.

This was a great guide, especially since I am anxious to start using GoWiPe at TH 8.

All good, it's completely normal

with lvl1, you won't three star systemiticaly, and yes, 3-star max th8 will be possible with lvl3 pekkas.. once again, depends on a lot of things since a lot can go wrong in a GoWiPe attack... (GB on several wiz, pekkas going fuzzy chasing butterfly, tad misplaced spell not even healing/raging troops)

so it's all good

on a side note... I am currently saving de and I'm using Giants over Golem, same ratio, so 12 giants... It is not a three star, but can easily go to storage in the middle and pretty effective for de farming (aim for 1500+ de in storage base)

You would never be able to steal the loot from the last pic.

Thats a TH7 attacking a TH10 before the loot update

I think you just need to ge a bit more experianced with GoWiPe then you'll be able to 3 star

As gunkar said, using level 1 is viable, however the pekka level can make the differance between a 2 star and a 3 star

I don't use hogs because i find that they die easily
It might be different for you thought because mine are only level 2

Mm hm. And what do the barbs and BK do when the CC holds a dragon or six wizards? Other than smolder, I mean.

I got an idea. Replace the 10 barbs with 2 archers and rest wizzies. And for the cc request hogs so that they can lure out CC troops.

My GoWiPe composition (200 army spaces)

• 1 golem
• 3 pekkas
• 20 wizards
• 7 wall breakers
• 1 archer
• Clan Castle (25 spaces): 6 wizards 1 archer
• Spells: 2 rage 1 lightning

Guaranteed 2 stars on any TH8 and most TH9s. My golems and pekkas are level 1, all the other troops are level 5. Spells are level 4.

Now I know what I was doing wrong. Every Single time. I followed the same strat and never got more than 2 stars on a maxed th8. Now I have the key. Llama. I want that Llama.

GoWiPe is strat for 2 stars only. Period. You might get lucky and get 3 stars, but rarely you'll be getting them.

One important thing is to always take down CC troops. Why? because at TH8, your golem(s) will die really fast against CC wizards, if you don't time it right when deploying your own wizards against the enemy CC wizards.

Regarding hogs, using max hogs is a hit or miss thing: assuming you take down CC troops first, if the enemy has placed a double GB somewhere, you're done. If your hogs ain't at least level 3 (preferably level 4), you're done (enemy hero will wipe them all out)...so it's a risky business. you might end up with 1 star or no star at all.
