Clan War Medals - Improved War Matchmaking

I still feel there is too much inconsistencies with war searches and matchmaking, hopefully i am not a lone. If we could have a another element in the matchmaking algorithm it could potentially stabilise the matching to a degree.

The idea is simple. add the following element to the match making. Just like our normal trophies we have the concept of Clan War Medals. Every time you win you gain medals depending on the margin of the win (taken from your opponent) and likewise you lose medals when defeated. (also have a war league just like our trophy league so we can see who are the kickass clans out there)

So in conclusion; the matching process looks for opponents using current algorithm + war medals factor. This would hopefully result in clans who have one 2 /40 wins would unlikely be paired with a clan that has won 35/40 even though they are of similar strength.

this would cause server lag... it already takes time to find a match, imagine if the server had another requirement to add to that. i do agree with you tho, i just don't want the game to lag either.

usually for 40vs40 and 45vs45 it takes anywhere from 5 mins 1 hour for a clan search, imagine the agonizing time it will take to find a clan

I actually think it will speed it up in most occasions. The first step is filtering all the war clans into the same league, this is an easy filter that does not require a lot of processing power i.e.. a simple 'where' clause. then apply the search algorithm within those search results. if no matches found, then it searches as per normal.

I don't think this would cause server lag.
A clan gets a score for having strong/weak bases and troops.
Lets say it's 10,000

Now it adds/deducts points for the wars they've won/lost

Let's say it is +500
So rather than looking for a match with another clan that has 10,000 points, it looks for a match with 10,500. There's no server lag at all.

I don't think it's a good idea though.
Rather than match on the war record on the clan, take into account the War stars that the players in the clan have won.
