Ever since level 6 loons were introduced, we had a few more defenses come in to put a dent into the almighty balloonion/miniball/onion/ strategy. 3rd xbow, level 4 xbow, 2 infernos with 3 levels each, level 8 AD, level 12 Archer Towers, and level 8 wizard towers.
Simply put, level 6 loons is of TH9 troop level and face extreme difficulty when facing TH10 defenses, although it is a Tier 2 troop.
I think it's about time our beloved balloons get a long waited TH10 exclusive level 7 upgrade.

I think all tier 1 troops (besides Gobs/wb's as of now) need lvl 7.
I don't get why they'd decide to just do lvl 7 balloons.

Level 7 troops are definitely TH10 exclusive, and i think CoC should start evolving and cut off the usage of Tier 1 troops at TH10 and beyond.Quote:

What's the onion strat? Anything with loons? This is new to me.
I also think its about time that lv7 balloons are released, defenses and other arial troops have gotten stronger yet the balloon has stayed the same.

Nah, sorry mate, but at TH10 we get +20 troops, +5 CC troops, and the all important Freeze spell (which is kinda OP at level 5). Level 7 balloons are not required, level 6 is already mightily powerful, when used right, especially with level 6 minions.
I've got TH10 and TH9 accounts, and I can tell you from personal experience over the last month, that ballooning at TH9 is way tougher than at TH10.
You only had to wait ~2 years. Lvl 7 loons are coming!
