try using BARCH with 1 or 2 rage spells at a time and attack bases with their D.E storages off center. Raging barbs can break u deep into a base for ur archers and queens to scoop up the D.E from behind and make u $$$$$

i've tried to cover up the main aspects of DE farming in this thread and mine video.

16 balloons, 70 minions, is only 32 minutes, and can be used with minimal (if any) spells. Ideally at least around C1, Masters if you have the stomach and skills (spend some of the 1000 gems boosting spell factory). The DE cost (700) is easily offset by the profits from hitting for 2-6k DE + league bonus per raid. Raid in sessions, minimal spells needed if you are below masters, and keep your TH outside when you log off 'cause there are plenty of low-level snipers on their way to Masters so most often one will find you really quick.
Otherwise you can b-arch lower down, but it can be more hit and miss in terms of finding good targets - depends how long you can stand to be searching for easy DE targets, really. Balloons lets you spend less time searching, a bit more time brewing (during which time you are free to do something else, maybe swipe the screen occasionally to keep from logging off if you are at high cups).
