TH9's in Gold 2: Your Opinion

Hello Everyone,

I'm a TH9, finishing up a few walls before I go to TH10. I have no use for elixir, and quite frankly I would be ok with putting DE on hold for a while if I could find a solid range to farm gold.

I use to hang around 1650 and find dead bases all the time. Then, I turned into more of a casual farmer and started using balloonion in C3-C2. For the longest time 2150-2250 trophies has been perfect for me. I'd spend just 40k or less searching for a base and find loot between 200k-350k consistently. There was much less nexting involved in crystal and, while I spent less time online consecutively, I could make a decent profit per day and actually spend less time in game. I've been in C2 farming ever since.

Once the latest update hit, loot took a dip (as always after an update). It recovered a bit, but I am still noticing loot is not as good as it once was. On top of that the last 2-3 days have been awful up here. I'm spending nearly 100k to find anything raidable over 150k gold. I'll still find the occasional base over 200k, but mostly they're all below 100k gold. I've climbed as high as 2500 and still find the same scenario. I fear the loot trend over the past couple of days is becoming the norm in this range (especially after reading about similar experiences here on the forum).

My question is, what's gold raiding like in gold leagues these days? G1 never treated me great, loot was ok at best and often inconsistent. 1650 was my range for the longest time, but I haven't been there in months, so it could be 100% different. How long does it take you guys to find a 200k raid in G1/G2? I can balloon very well, so idc if the base is inferno'd or not. I'll attack any TH8 or TH9 with 200k+ gold, and any TH10 that I feel I can net me that much gold. I just don't want to spend 100k searching for 200k anymore, it's boring and demoralizing. Anyone TH9's with current experience in gold leagues that they want to share?

Glad I saw this. I was thinking about going up to crystal for loot I'm in gold 2 around 1650 like you were and it's been great for me! Loot has been kinda dead today I think but I still got a couple 200k collector raids today. I'd say try it out down here and barch seems to be working for my last few attacks quick and cheap huge profits! Goodluck! :D

I just hit th 9 and am in g1 to c3 range. DE is good but gold is hard to find. If 1650 looks good I'll go there too

I've heard the last day or two has been rough at just about every range. That's why I've been holding off making the jump. I'd hate to have a knee-jerk reaction and end up missing out on loot. Don't get me wrong, loot is still good up here. I can find 200k-300k loots still if I want, it just costs me close to 100k in searching. I'd rather get 200k spending 50k than 250k spending 100k. I don't like spending 3-4x as much time nexting as I do raiding.

Sounds like 1650 is still viable though so that's a plus. How many nexts would you say does it take to find something that you can walk away from with 200k+?

I've farmed from Gold 2 all the way up to Crystal 3 the past 2 weeks or so, and definitely have had more joy in Gold 2 than any other league (just found a 200k Gold raid as I typed this).

On average I say it'll take bout 30 nexts to find a 200k Gold base, although not necessarily a collector one. That said, there are TH8s and 9s sitting on full loot here as well, so if you are planning to Balloonian it would definitely still work here in G2 I reckon.

I used to be a gold 2 barcher, but ever since i was in a trophy push with my clan ive been farming in C3. Im at 2100 cups. I get 300k gold and 300k elixer = 600k raids every single attack. Im using 8WB 20 giants 20 ish wizards and some gobs. I use only healing spells.

within 10-15 next i keep finding good storage loots, enemy TH9 or premmie TH bases. I attack casual every hour, and have th outside to get the free shield snipes. Its been treading me well so far, u should try

Gold I has been good for me, finding collector raids within 15 nexts at most

Did a boosting session a couple of hours ago and as you can see below, it wasn't that bad

Thanks everyone, I'm going to miss the league bonus, but it sounds like I'm headed to G2. Keep your storages full please, in case I see you down there :)

Im only th8 but the last month ive kept my self in silver 1 or g3 just because I can almost always find 200k+ very easily. I can normally boost my barracks, bk, and spells and easily make 2-3 million in a 2 hour span. A few from earlier today

Not much nexts at all for me usually. 20 at most usually. Even then I can find a easy 120k to grab from collectors with only deploying 25 troops. 200k+ takes me around 20-25 nexts on average. One time I got 300k of each gold and elixir on my first search that was a few days ago so it's not to long of a wait to search
