Attack help please. Stuck in a barch'ing rut.

I've been stuck on TH7 for what seems like forever. I'm probably about 3 weeks out from going to TH8. My problem is i've managed to make it to 1600 trophies in gold II where everyone says all the loot is. Problem is my troops are too weak. They are all maxed except the balloon which is a 3star, but the rest are 4 star and a 2 star dragon. The only attack strategy I know how to use is barbs and archers. However, they can't get past the purple walls, so i'm stuck shooting from the outside, maybe getting 50% and maybe 8k loot if i'm lucky. I've tried adding 8 giants and 8 wb's, but the damn mortars take them out too fast. I'd really like a fast build army, that I can just set the barracks to and keep it filling without having to think, i've got 2 of these and I need 6 more.

hey clasher, i am a town hall 10 now but had same exact problem at 7. so this is what i did, i used 10 giants, a healer 5 wbs and rest archers. like you said this is a fast training group. this will gel you get to interior and where the loot/ town hall is.
First step: drop one giant where you want all your giants to go, then put down 2 wbs to get through that wall, destroy air defense if possible, then drop healer on giants.
next step: spam archers to clear outside building, (don't put down all) then that should clear a path right to the loot. if you have your barb king and or cc, then drop them last to clean up the resources.

What level trophies should I be at? Stay in gold II or drop back down to silver I?

Bring Wallbreakers! They help get through that pesky layer of lvl 7 walls... I know you've tried already, but you must not be placing them right.

You do a row of Barbs, then archers, wait for the mortar to fire, then drop 2 or 3 WBs quickly, and by the time the defenses target the WBs, they've already made a path

In Gold II, you can still use BARCH, but it takes much longer as you'll usually need to expend more troops. If you want a more consistent army, then giant / healer works.

The simple solution that I would do would be to drop back to Silver as it is much more friendly for a TH 7

I have a barch tutorial on my channel that could help a lot. But here is a guide for gold leagues. The people saying Gold 2 is good are probably th8s and 9s. Stick to high silver 1 and gold 3 in th7. Your almost to the part of the game where it gets really fun. Good Luck

I wonder who told you there's loot there cause thats ♥♥..it's all at 1200 trophies. Go there any you'll be great

From what I've seen recently, Gold 2 is way better for TH8, as the good bases to b-arch are TH8+. So yeah, drop down, you should find plenty more TH7 and TH6 lower down.
