The issue is not server space/storage/memory but gameplay and device memory and quite possibly internet traffic to some extent. The comparison between accounts and graphics just underline your ignorance of data servers and their purpose, and at best a red herring in this thread..Keep it on topic (which is flags btw).Quote:

My best guess (in a nutshell, to save people from TL-DR), is that adding all the flags, especially of animated as they currently are, will utterly bloat up the graphics sprite library. SC needs a trim and slim app for various reasons, and adding all the nation flags with the current system, and not taking into account the required user interface changes, just for flags, isn't a really high priority, especially with the work needed for this.
