Logic Behind Balloonian?

So i just found out of out the channel on youtube called MYSTLC7. So i just typed in "clash of clans" in youtube and scrolled down through the vids and saw "farming ep. 6". So i watch it and realize that he is farming at th 9 with balloonian in champion! Here are the videos he has posted on farming:
Also, so, at th 9 there are not much elixer upgrades, from my point of view, because its so easy to get, so elixer isnt a problem and the minions they are only like 600 de which you can easily get back from the raid.

I don't see balloonian as a viable farming strategy, however it's great for pushing trophies after crystal. It's very easy to get 50% or 2 stars with this troop composition. It's cost effective for pushing too since dragons tend to drain your elixir storages.

The reason TH9/10s farm with Balloonion is because they're typically at least in masters, where there is almost no way you could possibly farm efficiently with Barch or BAM. You're forced to use a comp that will actually take out some of the base as opposed to just going for collectors or exposed storages. Balloonian is actually one of the most cost effective ways to take out a portion of someone's base up there. No one has time or elixir to train GoWiWi or GoWiPe all day 😛.

24 balloons, 60 minions. 2 lightning, 3 rage. Around 1-3 spells used per raid.

Raid every 50 minutes. Literally you log in once per hour, raid, qeueu spells, log off, and log back in an hour later.

Loot per raid is 250k minimum, excluding loot bonus.

250k per hour, that's what it looks like when you convert it to hourly rate, looks bad? Yes it does.

However, here is the beauty of it:
Minus off 8 hours of sleep, i can log in oncer per hour for the remaining 16 hours of the day, and i spend like 7 minutes per hour on raiding.

16 x 250k = 4 million gold. 4 million gold per day by logging in every hour for 7 minutes each time. Very relaxing, and you are almost guaranteed to find loot within 20 searches if you are in the right league.

So there you have it, it is the least grinding farming style.

Definately need to be TH10 to achieve it, far more likely to get a kind hall sinper when you have Infernos in the way. For TH9 it is quite risky to raid with that style in higher leagues.

I do look forward to getting Infernos so I can start such lazy farming tactics. Lazy style would suit me perfectly.

I've farmed with as few as 16 balloons, around 2800 cups give or take. I'll usually use 20, but 16 is fine and actually works better vs weaker bases with loot around the outsides. Typically, I use no spells - one on average is the plan - so I easily max elixer in about a week of casual farming. You'd be surprised how many good collector raids there are in Masters, and while most full storages are well protected that's not always the case and it also comes down to how many spells you can afford (i.e. how long until you go raiding again).

As far as getting 50% goes, which is very important when farming at higher cups, I've personally found 16-20 balloons and the rest minions to be far superior to other alternatives, especially if you have level 6 minions. I've tried all archers, b-arch, and BAM, as well as giant-based armies, and for me, ballinions are just so much easier to get a 1-star win with, especially if you do not use your CC or Heroes on every attack (which I can't, when farming). The only army I find superior is GoWiPe, although that can struggle vs a pure collector raid, but you can't afford the elixer for a full-on GoWiPe every raid, I use that sometimes for fun and massive storage raids but it quickly lowers my elixer count...

Like Sandalhat says, it's a really easy, relaxing farming style for TH10. On the days when I can take my ipad to work, I just log in and raid every 30-90 minutes, when I've got a spare 5 minutes. At home, a couple of raids in the morning, a few in an evening session. Sometimes I log off during the evening session, sometimes not, but typically a TH10 can last an hour or two logged off no problems, even when holding millions of gold and elixer in the lower half of Masters, if your base is well upgraded attacks usually only come once your collectors have had at least a couple of hours to make you offer well over 400k of each + a few thousand DE.

As TH10, you only need 2-3M gold per day to keep 5 builders busy, and at high cups DE is a by-product you can make 100k+ per week without even targeting it, e.g. my King is on 24/7 upgrade at the moment going to 24 and I have never targeted DE except when I was upgrading AQ and BK together. As an example, yesterday I raided during the day, and made about 4M gold profit - my gold store is now maxed, as is elixer, and DE around 40k... I have no free builder for another day, so while it was fun raiding a bit during the day, it was not needed.

Balloonian is the best! Don't ask why. Easy 1 star every base and get a lot of loots.

1 level 3 dragon
12 level 6 balloons
70 level 3 minions
2 heal spells average
CC Troops:5 balloons

With Inferno:
16 balloons
70 minions
CC Troops: 5 balloons

Im working on upgrading my minions as I near Master's League.

honestly, if you are after dark I think BAM/barch in crystal 3 with lightning is the best way. I can pull 30k/day doing that
