As I look at this widely used strategy, I just simply cannot figure it out.
Suppose you are Th9/10, and use 20 balloons (which is minimum.) This equates to a 160 build time, which is divided in 40 minutes per barrack, while costing ~100k to >100k elixir.
40 minutes and near 100k elixir.
thats not even including the time/elixir it costs to cook rage spells.
Now, the basis of farming is to use an army that takes up minimal build time and elixir, so you can continuously raid back to back in a 'session'.
So how do Th9/10 players farm with balloonian?
How do you pay for 5m+ upgrades when you raid almost once an hour? Not only that, but I don't see players looting more than 600k per raid.
My view of this is that, you raid, you queue your army, and you log off until its ready.
Using that perspective, does this not mean you are likely to get raided within that 40+ minutes of cook time?
Suppose you have a 5m upgrade coming up, and you saved 4.5m.
You log off, and get raided for all available loot. One attack is probably not enough to cover the amount you just lost, making it near impossible for you to save up, especially when you break shield.
So how do so many players find success in this strategy? What is that missing factor?
Note: I am not debunking Balloonian, I actually highly respect players that use this strategy.
