Why do people put teslas around th

Recently I've been sniping town halls to get up to crystal to farm some DE. And I would say 3/5 of bases have traps or teslas around their "exposed town hall" and this simply don't make any sense to me and here's why.
1. Personally if someone's teslas pop out I won't surrender I would instead of taking a 1/3 of trophies use my full army to 3 star the base, which isn't good in any defensive situation.
2. What's the point of the teslas their they are a powerful defense being wasted.
3. If I set off every trap your wasting over 50k having to rearm them.

so all in all it DOSNT make any sense to me, if you do this can you please put your logic behind it

The logic is basically to mess with people and get some funny replays from low level opponents trying to snipe (or that's one reason at least). That being said I make it a point to crush anyone who does that.

I agree that it's annoying when you find someone doing that, but I also can see why they do it. Heck, I've done it myself a few times. You can't tell me that watching some TH 7 use their whole army to get 5% (or failing altogether) isn't funny. :p

you're quite courageous :)

I'm much more lazy and :
- use 10 barbs to trigger every possible trap next to TH
- leave as many thumbstones as possible next to the TH so ppl know it's trapped and don't give him a free shield
- if he has >1k DE, I zap his storage
- and forfeit the battle

takes me 5 seconds, and doesn't waste my troops/heroes.

I have to agree. Its amazingly annoying- when I see a tesla pop up its an instant lightning on the DE storage.

On the other hand, I have my TH outside and exposed and silly TH8/9/10s take it out and continue with the rest of my base, sometimes a revenge raid losing 35+ trophies. So me being fed up I decided to make my own anti-snipe base and it has bee promising, holding up surprisingly well to up to TH9s in Crystal II.

It's just fun I guess. I do that a lot when farming, but if you really want to troll them, put discos next to the townhall :rolleyes:

Ill do that when they come out with Hidden Discos...

I keep my completely un-trapped TH out in the open. I will say that at least half the people who snipe it try to barch my collectors since they know they can do it and still "win". It's possible they want to make them use more troops to get the TH so they will have less to barch them with.
