Loots fine. A few statistical anomalies and people who just can not be satisfied do not justify changing the loot system.
Loot is just as important to SC as it is to the players. If it needs adjustment they will adjust it.

No, you don't get it.
For people like me who hoard lots of loot, I will not lose any more because the cap is unchanged.
But for people who are always broke because they don't play much, they will offer much more because the percent of what they do have is more.
I can’t tell you how irritating it is to NEXT millions of times through bases that have good defenses, but nothing to loot because they dump most of it into their walls before logging off or save up for only one upgrade at a time.
This change is not without its flaws. It would make it harder for casual player who never raid to save up anything because they would lose more. Personally, I would rather they buff the loot bonus substantially so that attacking a completely broke base would still be profitable. I still can’t believe there is no DE loot bonus in gold league.
Loot is not fine. Your standards of pink walls at TH9 are just low.

This is why the old (pre December) loot system was better, collector raids or not.
Higher % from attacks = more people will offer something = less nexts.
I would even propose that lowering the cap to about 50-75% of what it is now would help. That would make it easier to save up for upgrades, since finding someone offering 200k+ in storages currently is completely luck, but if you're sitting on 5mil, you have a 100% chance of your opponent finding you.
All the players' want is more consistency, less nexting, and being able to save up for upgrades. The current loot system does the opposite of that. The reason people dump so much gold is because of the high loot cap. It has nothing to do with the %.
