About to upgrade barracks for golem.. yes.. been slacking but was using builders for defense and walls.
What do you guys usually use them for? Wars? Pushing?
I see a lot of people using them and not sure. Is it to take all the hits while your army is pounding down the village?
Yep. Try searching for gowipe or gowiwi attacks. Lots of great stuff.

I started to use them a week or two ago... (had them but didn't hit them yet) and it is fantastic... cooking them overnight or overjob time...

2 golem, 2 pekkas, 9wb, 18wiz.. 2rage, 1heal
i'm trying to get the hand of it and it's going well... not so much to do in my research lab, my pekkas is going to lvl2 and as soon as ready it will go to lvl3 or if i have enough i'm defenitely trying to get my golem to lvl2
i can take one th9 with decent defense and two star them when lucky... but a one star is the minimum i have hit with that combo (and just did one star like two times because i was clearly not aiming for the TH... it was exposed)
I primarily use them for wars with gowiwi or wipe.
They're awesome for pushing too, but not needed until you get well into champs. Loons are much more efficient to push outside of champs.
As mentioned, Golems are tanks. They are a bit weak at lvl 1, but still get the job done when attacking th8 and some th9 in CW. Support them with 10-18 wizards, 8-10 wbs, some archers and/barbs. Can also use giants or pekkas depending on your strategy, income and time involved.
