I have defeated a few but, aside from counting / ditching spare troops I really attack them...
I suppose there are gem rewards for getting 1,2 and 3 stars but is it really worth the tradeoff?
I would rather use my elixir for troops to raid other people as I just don't find the loot from goblins worthwhile...
Any other thoughts? :)
Does anyone attack them? Yes. Free gems and loot. The final bases give quite a reasonable payout
The last few levels give tons of loot.
I attack them for when I want quick, easy loot.
But to get to those final bases you just have spent out LOADS in elixir?!

They give exorbitant amount of loot near the end

as the others have said there is great loot at the higher levels and the other great part is that its a great way to raid and score that extra loot and gem achievements while you have a shield.
the first however many arent that good but once you start getting 100 000 of each resource per raid its worth itQuote:

Got 150 stars on them when I was a low th 8, wasn't hard, definitley worth it
Definitely worth it, the last 10-15 levels are alll 100k each resource up to 800k of each for the last level. Up until the last 5-6 levels you can really just barch with 100ish troops. Some of hte middle levels don't even have any air defense so you can take down an entire level with 1 minion. There is no time limit so as long as your patient to wait while hte 1 minion does its thing it can be very cheap to take the loot.
So why don't the people who complain just use the campaign to get their loot?
Also.. how many gems can you get in total for beating it? I stopped at 45 stars lol
There are only maybe 10 levels that have loot worth bothering with. Once you get the loot once, it's gone; it doesn't regenerate. So, a few million total and it's all over. Not exactly a sustainable substitute for regular raiding.Quote:

Save the last few gob bases for when your really need gold (TH9)
I only spent about 200k elixir for some of the final raids, but you still make an enormous profit.
As others have pointed out, the last ten or so gob forts are very profitable.
It's also something to do when you really want to attack but you don't want to give up a shield -- for example when you are saving up for an upgrade and a builder will be free in a few hours.
And it's a good way to practice using different troops on challenging bases without losing trophies or getting revenge attacked.
it's great loot. you can do it while you have a shield. save the last several to do in a session for some mega loot in an hour or so.
chief pats channel has a walkthrough of each lvl how to take the air d's out and then kill it with a single loon / minion.
also get a few gems.
just dont waste elixer on them if you'r not strong enough. I think by the time you have lvl 4 troops you can clear every lvl.
for the mid range or lower range goblin bases loot sucks honestly. Maybe I just got to far ahead and hit bases my troops are not ready for? IDK but I have burned entire armies and gotten little loot a couple times now. lol
Goblins are not the greatest, but at least they're a cheap dependable troop that you know what you are going to get from them. They WILL go after loot and they WILL be killed off quickly, and when the defenses are down,they are rather a quick clean up crew in masses.
This is is sort of unrelated, but while goblins are generally whatever, the troop that are nearly becoming unusable are wall breakers and wizards. WB's because there AI is just stupid, and unreliable. Wizards because they are sooooo slow to attack. I just had 11 wizards decimated by a level one dragon... I used poor judgment in there placement because I wanted to save them for getting loot, but apparently wizards need a second set up time before attacking while the dragon just attacks and destroy them while the wizards do that stupid pose they do before striking😡
dude read the thread. it's about the single player campaign.
and WBs and wizards are extremely integral at high lvl play.

Just train up lightning spells and use them on the gold storages, I thought I was clever when I figured this out as I always have to much elixer
