Dark Elixir Hunting

Here is two great methods to get Dark Elixir without spending gems and money. This strategy is perfect for those who are Town Hall 7 or above because you need a dark elixir storage. Whether you're looking to get a Barb King or upgrade your hog riders to level 5, this strategy will get you the Dark Elixir you need. Using the tips in this video we have made a Barb King and upgraded him to level 3 without a Dark elixir drill or spending gems (while on TH7).

Please don't use lightning spells on people's dark elixir storages. It is an extremely inefficient way of gaining dark elixir and it will result in you being revenged several times.

Inefficient, no, it's a great complement to barch attacks as they will use lighting spells anyway.
Revenges will happen though.

If you're solely using lightning spells to farm dark elixir, then it becomes highly inefficient.

I can make about 4k per hour on lightning de alone, not to mention my drills which can make 1.5k er h for me...

lightning DE is for dbags. that is all.

The most efficient way to get dark is to farm for collector raids in G1 or C3. Almost every collector raid has full drills to raid as well. A full L6 drill yields 1200 dark. So TH9's can give 2400 and TH10's 3600 on drills alone.
