Maybe you should post what level walls and defenses you have?
If you weren't a maxxed th8 and new to th9... I expect you to have problems
I've tried several th9 bases and I'm very impressed with th9 bases and my max th8 buildings and 30 Lego walls

A farming base. Im a relatively new th 9, but I have level 2 xbows, around half level 8 walls, and well upgrades defenses. I appreciate all the help!
I use "Tesla Typhoon" and it's been great. DE and gold are nicely protected, but elixir is pretty vulnerable. It's not really an anti-hog base either, but I've never really had much trouble. I'm constantly in Gold-2 range.

I assume you still have lab upgrades left, and this base works pretty damn well for me.
Maybe your walls are low level, or your defenses are low level, make sure to max out ur walls and defenses for th 9!
