Forming this base, the cc was placed dead center in village edit, followed by plotting a dot by dot, wall by wall circle around the CC defense radius—

A variation of this has also been adapted for a war base

I would stagger your archer towers and cannons, instead of having only cannons on the outside as it leaves areas exposed & vulnerable to air attacks.
