Supercell makes millions of millions of dollars and they wont even put direct messaging in clash of clans. What a joke, this game needs it if it wants to ever be a legit game! Anyone else hate this?

A few months ago some info got released that they took in over 750k a day. That could easily be over a million now. Sorry I don't have the source but plenty of people remember it, I'm sure.Quote:

I think Daddy pointed out that there are many players with the same ign, so its hard for the system to know who.
But a simple solution to that would be to look up the player's clan, then instead of clicking "visit", you click "message".
But the main argument was harrassment.
Imagine if you are Jorge Yao, getting few million PM a day.. would certainly be very irritating.
dun think as a simple minded peep. think as if u are supercell and u will know the answer. the game is about raiding. if u can communicate directly guess what are the number of angry words exchanging. Next will be i report u, u report me. ban u ban me. Do u want supercell open a new department to handle all these potentially new complains? Please, they got no time for these non profit making ideas.
In clan communication would be ok, clicking on person and send pm button, for outside clan communication the best way would be to use Game Center as the mechanism, ie look at friends list and send pm from there...Quote:

If direct in game PM is in place, i will definitely abuse it and gloat at the player i 3-starred.

I like this one. PM via Game Center. As such it does not get abused and you can still communicate. Sometimes we want to maintain connections with ex-clan mates like those who get kicked for a short period of inactivity/ those who clan hop to sister clans or those who have left the clan. Some of my clan members use whatsapp to keep in touch via group chat at the moment but not all are comfortable with it and you tend to have to alternate between that and the game sometimes if you have only 1 device.Quote:
