Sounds like Apple is acting as the bank to me. They hold money for a consumer and then make payments to SC as the customers request. The retailer takes the hit with chargeback fraud when the consumer receives a fraudulent refund for services provided. I am not saying this is the definition of what everyone who received a refund did, some people did. I can quote that exiled guy who is a th6 and claimed a refund due to the hero Nerf.

Sure they paid for a temporary advantage, and that turns out to be not much of an advantage as it used to be (not as much, but way below), that's called false advertising.


@bold: there's a limit to everything. One cannot be immuned from criticism/accusation just because they put "game is subject to change" in their TOS. When a good game developer rebalance something, they rebalance all aspects of it, not just the base stats.

Gems are used to purchase services from SC not products/items.

Not false advertising as it is clearly explained that the services SC provides are subject to change and are not offered with any implied warranty. Informed consumer. Read the not so fine print, a lot of it is written in caps.

Do not take my arguments as saying SC should be immune to criticism. However the accusations of fraud and theft lobbied have very little weight given players neglected to read the TOS. Read the not so fine print.

While you are entitled to your opinion of the TOS that does not detract from the TOS explaining the terms of sale and services provided by SC. The TOS is a legal document which serves to inform the consumer what is to be expected of the services provided.

For someone who loves to debate semantics, you are delusional if you think Apple is a bank.

Apple is not a bank. Period.

A bank is someone like Citibank or Bank of America, who issued the credit card that a consumer used to pay for IAP.

Try to spin it anyway you like, but you aren't fooling anyone. You were caught lying about what "chargeback fraud" is. It does not apply here. Stop scaring people off from getting legitimate Apple refunds with your lies.

It also doesn't stop SC from changing the stats of PEKKA to become that of a level 1 Barbarian in the next update.

Are you saying that players should expect things like that to happen before spending money on gemming the PEKKA upgrades?

If the answer is yes, then it says a lot about the quality of the game that SC is working on.

Apple does not act like a bank. They do not hold money for a consumer. When an IAP is made, the money directly goes to Apple, then immediately a portion to SC. In no way are they "holding" onto that money for any amount of time for the customer. Please do quote.

Please explain to me how gems are a service?
"A service is something someone does for you."

What exactly is SC doing for me if I buy gems? Anything at all? And no, speeding up build times is not a service. It's a number. That is automatically changed. That involves no direct involvement from a real human being to deliver the "service."
